Great spot for a hearty breakfast. Delicious country food and a caring and polite staff.

Only been here once, but the food and service were fantastic. Definitely will have to go again soon!

I have been going here for 4 years and it has always been the best. Todays experience with the server was terrible. She came to take our order with no menus and had an attitude. I asked for lightly toasted toast and crispy bacon and was brought the opposite. I said something and she acted upset that I even said anything. Then she gave me my receipt for $27.42 and after I paid I looked at what she charged me and there was a non cash adjustment and have seen that before. The rest of the staff has always been great.

Our family enjoys looking for and trying smaller, independent restaurants when we're out and about rather than relying on chains. Sometimes, this approach leads us to charming, small restaurants. Sometimes, it leaves us longing for the predictability and consistency of a chain. Unfortunately, our experience at Reichhold's Cafe was the second scenario, not the first. We stoped here after a gym meet at the nearby Community College of Butler County. The first ding on this experience was that they refused to serve us lunch. It was 12:20 PM on a Sunday afternoon when we sat down, but they would only sell us breakfast. (To be fair, I've promised my daughters that I would include a qualifier that this is a family owned restaurant that was very crowded on a Sunday and they were open until 2:00 PM only. I'm not exactly sure how that excuses them from serving lunch at 12:30 PM, but my family seemed to think that was an important fact.) So the bacon-cheeseburger and fries that I was really jonesing for when we pulled into the parking lot had to get replaced by breakfast. Even though I'd already eaten breakfast hours before. Second, it took FOREVER for the food to come. Again, I can access empathy because the kitchen was crowded. But it took a whole hour for our food to come. It was truly trying on our patience. Finally, it was expensive. I couldn't believe the check amount when it came. For eggs. That we waited 60 minutes to get. I love mom-and-pop restaurants and we support them because we would rather them do well than another casual dining chain. But if I knew the experience we were going to get when we walked into Reichhold's Cafe, I would have taken our family to an Eat 'n' Park in a heartbeat. I'm sad to say that I wouldn't go back to this restaurant and I would recommend it to a friend only if they insisted on supporting an independent establishment.
