This is a great little stop for kids about 10 and under! They can touch everything! In fact, they are expected to play with the props while the parent either reads a few little signs or just plays with them, learning about early Rhode Island history. Such a cool place, not to mention the water room. My kids loved it so much over the years. I am now happy to bring my granddaughter there!

Had a great day at the children's museum with my 4 year old nephew. He really enjoyed all aspects of the museum but the water section in the first floor was definitely his favorite. As an adult, my favorite part was he autumnal crafts on the second floor. Being Cape Verdean, I was so excited to see the little education section of the Nellie Mae ship coming to America from Cape Verde and I was able to relate it back to our family for my nephew. Lots to see and do at the museum, the staff was amazing, the building was very clean, and it wasn't too crowded on a Friday afternoon.

It is fun there. They have a water table room with huge water tables. Its fun for all ages. Upstairs they have a lot of different rooms that your kids can explore. I totally recommend it.
Yes. Thankfully! And the water room is a great option for added fun cooling down from the heat!
There could be, but it would be more than 2:30 at least.
Toddlers and most ages. My 4 year old loves this place. But any child from 2-12 can enjoy lots of great games, exhibits, and fun.
If you have Neighborhood Health Plan insurance, show your insurance card for one free admission ticket. If you receive RI food stamps, show your EBT card for free admission for 4 pal, and if you work for Met Life, they have free Friday night admission. I hope that helps you.
Yes the museum takes credit cards.
Sometimes outside near the climbing tree, sometimes inside in a classroom second floor.
I believe so too, I would give them a call before heading over.
It is handicap friendly. There are ramps to the second floor and each area has plenty to do for someone who utilizes a wheelchair. The outside area though doesnt have much for someone in a wheelchair though.
This here is another example of the ever evident Mandela effect. I too am from the universe where the Providence children's museum was indeed in Pawtucket and not Providence. #staywoke
No cafe on site or nearby but there are spaces where you could have your own snacks do bring some as you could fair amount of time here.
Yes. It's pretty small, but usually adequate. If there is a birthday party or two scheduled, it can fill up. Everywhere else around has restricted parking, but it's generally not enforced when the neighboring business are closed on weekends
Honestly, you should call them and ask. Children in general have to wear mask, which is stupid I'm my opinion. But yeah, give em a call
Yes you have to wear masks
Yes
I don't think there are any restrictions based on age. Ticket prices are probably consistent. As of this weekend, the website was updated that they were aiming to reopen in July.
Xaco Taco....is amazing. Super kid friendly
Just be mindful that most activities are targeting 2+ minimum age group and that there will be lots of older children running around.
Crowded?
Not sure. I pad $2 per person for 3 adults and 1 child. I think it's up to 4 people and then I think you pay full price for the rest
Yes i had fl one and i used it it worked
If you have NHI Health Care insurance it free all time
Yes you can use mass ebt card for discount. I just did it today. There’s over 300 museums you can use it at on that museums for all website
If you have EBT its $2 a person up to 4 I believe.
If you have state insurance everyone with a card will be free. Or if you have an EBT card up to 4 people will be $2 each. But general admission is $12 a person, adults and children. Babies under a year will be free
There is art on display throughout the museum, made by children, youth and adults.
I think it's $12 per person but if you have an EBT card it's only $2 and you can use it for four people
Definitely worth visiting with toddler... Bank of America card provides free visit on second week of every month (suggest to check the bank website for details) ...or suggest to get Library passes to get 50% discount...
Tonight is the typically Friday thats sponsord and can go for free from 4-8, unless otherwise stated by museum
There are a lot of things for a 4mo old. Mostly the usual things though, blocks outdoor sand pit... They have a baby section that is only for 2yo and under I believe. But it can get pretty hectic there on some days. I would suggest Kidz Kastle in Warwick instead. I love both places.
Admission is 9.00 per person .So 18.00 for two 13 year olds.
It depends on how many are attending admission and a room are included so you would have to contact museum.
Yes. Free on Fridays after 5 and EBT gets up to 4 people free
