Best thing my 8 yr old son ever did according to him. A bit of a mob scene at the beginning and the end but just stick together and you'll be fine. They have it very organized. You check in and wait in line and your ticket already has you assigned to a car so there is no need to get there too early. Kids will just want to wander and shop etc. Then you board your individual train. Each train has a chef and a story/song leader. As you ride he reads the story, tells jokes, you get cocoa and cookies, you sing Christmas carols, the kids have a dance party. All kinds of fun. The North Pole is a golf course they have set up with elfs playing outside and sledding etc. Luckily there was snow on the ground when we went. You don't get out of the train. Them the train goes backwards heading back to the station. Guess who must have hopped on at the North Pole and wants to say hi to the kids. Santa walks through the train cars taking pictures and passing out bells in a pretty red box. At the end of the ride they give you a nice badge that says "believe" on it. You can put your cookie, commemorative cocoa cup, bell, music pages and coloring in the bag. When you get back to the station there are photo areas and Santa is there on a sleigh. There are refreshments that are fairly expensive and a bunch of souvenirs. Some reasonable and some pricey. We got a conductor hat for 20 bucks but the ornaments were fairly reasonable considering it is from Polar Express. The popcorn is free refills so you may want to buy that first so you can eat in line, fill up before the ride, eat on the ride and refill for the ride home. It comes in a flashing bucket. But if you're lucky you can avoid it all together. Definitely bring your own bottles of water. We even won the Thomas Kincade picture they talked off. As you leave everyone gets an ornament to take home. Ours was a ceramic Santa. The staff all stays in character as elfs and they make it very magical for the kids. My son was 8 and 10 months and he was so enthralled. Granted he's a Santa addict but it was a great experience. He started talking about his trip for next year in the car on the way home and still brings it up. We are in March and right up till Feb he's been taking about it.

Our family is celebrating 5 years aboard the Blackstone Valley Polar Express. This train out of Woonsocket is easy to travel to. The experience is one of a kind and that's an understatement. You get a full trip to the North Pole to Santa!!! So don't forget your golden ticket... That includes Snow, caroling on a real working train, Bingo and a beautiful story of of course the Polar express. Every train car is a different reindeer ex. Pracer, Dancer, Comet etc. You get cookies and hot hot hot chocolate 😋. The chefs, the conductors, the stewards, EVERYONE is magical and amazing. It truely is something that every family should experience. I won't tell the secret but.... you will hear your special present from Santa 🎅 but only if you BELIEVE. #BVPOLAREXPRESS #NORTHPOLE #MAGICAL #FAMILY #ELVESMAKEITHAPPEN

If you have young children, this is quite the experience. I say that because theres singing and dancing. If your children are older, they may not enjoy it as much as younger children. The hot chocolate was delish, they have vegan hot chocolate too as well as gluten free cookies. Sing, dance and have fun on this trip.

Brought my family here for the Polar Express experience, and all in all it was a very good time. Kids loved the whole things, the staff always had something for the them to do so that they were never bored.

I don't know..my youngest was 5years old
It depends on which train car you go in and what's available. We were in the Prancer car which offers 4 seats together with a table. I'm unsure if you can just purchase 3 seats, though, you'd have to ask them. I booked our tickets in September because it sells out quickly! Hope this helps!
Yes
Look them up
1:30 Train ride. Fun. Santa ,cookies , hot chocolate, Christmas story's, singing, Great time for all. You and the kids will enjoy.
Friday would be the only day during the week. There are two trips on most Fridays, 4pm and 7pm.
Doubt it. Only in December I think
82.50 to 65.00 per person
I'm not sure. I'm not a veteran.
I do not see a veteran's discount off-hand with a quick look. That does NOT mean that there isn't such a discount. I suggest you phone a ticket agent and ask all your questions. It looks like the base price is about $50. That's pretty steep. The prices only go up from there. I hope a ticket agent can find a way to get you and your loved ones aboard affordably.
