Great getaway from the world. We had Cabin F, close to the stream, our own porta potty, but we had to bring our own personal belongings such as blankets, pots, pans, etc. There are mice near what sounds like the walls, which is a downside. Overall, a good camping site, but could improve. Friendly and helpful staff.

5 stars on the location, the seclusion,& the creek is beautiful. But the place is outdated & rather dirty. The host was super paranoid about covid so even though his office smelled bad & was cluttered he had to talk to us through a door, all 6 of us had to sign a paper saying we will not hold him liable for anything. He then gave clear instructions on how to return the shower key between campers so it can be sanitized for the next person ect. & strict orders not to put any foreign objects in the fire which is fine but there was a multitude of burned beer cans in our fire ring when we arrived. Our cabin was musty & mattresses stained with mildew.... we are not picky campers, love camping primitive but this was disgusting.

Beautiful campground with access to a stream. Other campsites are nearby but none are really too close for comfort. There are Porto potties available, as well as handwashing sinks, showers and drinking water available. The guy at the office let us check in after 9pm, gave us tons of info including a map of the grounds and a list of nearby attractions. He also discouraged us from gathering firewood from our campsite, but they do sell firewood at a reasonable price. He said the place was, "more of a nature preserve than a public campground." I would definitely agree! Was very clean and quiet as well. Very low key. Would definitely stay here again.

We went 3 weeks ago, my kids fished in some spots of the river and caught some but it was nothing worth eating. Mostly catch and release but they did enjoy fishing. They also went in the woods and caught salamanders.

Many people like the bass fishing at Mount Storm Lake, about 10 minutes away. Jennings-Randolph Lake, less than 20 minutes from here, is noted for its walleye, smallmouth bass, and trout fishing. The North Branch of the Potomac can be accessed at several different points, and is fishable., with trout, smallmouth bass and largemouth bass, among other species. A WV fishing license is required. www.wvfish.com Abrams Creek is also fishable; please do not fish anywhere where people are visible.
