To start this review off coming from a person that used to work at Ben Weitsman at Albany you may say I’m a little bias, however, a lot of people that work here & even customers can prove and agree to my reasons as to why I personally don’t recommend this scrap yard for various reasons. First reason, it is a very discriminatory place where the Mexican/hispanic & black workers are looked down upon and paid extremely low compare to your typical white male worker. In addition to that they aren’t allowed to move up in position keeping them at a low level, therefore demonstrating and keeping them in a discriminatory and slave environment. Second of all, the management is TERRIBLE. They CAN’T KEEP THEIR WORKERS OR EVEN A GENERAL MANAGER. From what I saw there is a struggle of power between higher position personnel. THIS PLACE NEEDS A CHECK AND BALANCES SYSTEM. Third of all, these higher positions personnel posses an extremely rude attitude and can be very demanding when they’re low staff! Moreover, this place is unsanitary and they don’t follow COVID protocols. There are nails everywhere that can pop your tires, save your self the drive. Not only that the scrap yard in itself is dirty and unsafe. In addition, COVID protocols are not even followed. CUSTOMERS & THE STAFF ARE ALLOWED TO DO WHAT THEY WANT AND THEY DON’T WEAR MASKS EVEN THOUGH IT SHOULD BE ENFORCED. Customers would come in coughing and dirty WITHOUT A MASK. In my opinion, THIS IS A SELFISH MOVE and DEFINITELY NOT CONSIDERATE OF OTHERS HEALTH! Last but not least, they scam people and you won’t get ur money’s worth. I rather recommend going across the river. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND DEEPLY INVESTIGATED! THUMBS DOWN!

Scam alert they are HORRIBLE!!! They will jerk you if you do not know your metals and wires. They will say Tin when it’s really magnetic stainless. I stripped all of my wires and they gave me the lowest wire when I had the second highest. If you take a chance with them be careful. I am done with them. Just warning everyone else how they scam people.

Gas and oil needs to be taken out and need a title of the vechine
They only accept metal for recycling. They do not sell used parts.
what is copper per pound
Subject to change every day. Best to call them. They're very friendly.
It changes every few days so just call them.
Yes
No they dont sell the cars back to people
You can call them. They're usually better then their competitors.
They take computer components but please call them to get prices and verify
Have no idea of the prices. I am only a driver that pulles out of there. I di know they are always busy and people are constantly in and out, so they must be very competitive. Very friendly and it's usually very clean (not many flats on my rig) hope this helps you out.
Roughly 70$ maybe more or less depending on size and condition
