It's nice and they have redone some of the boardwalk since the last time I had gone. Beautiful place out of the way.

Nice nature trail across the various bridges, though they could use some repairs.

Great little hiking trail. Even in the summer the trees provide a nice break from the heat.

It's a beautiful park. I was there and one of the board walks was being updated so it was closed and the one that was open wasn't exactly safe or kept up with. Sad to see that Polk County could do so much better. There is a wide open field to fly RC airplanes on that you can get to with a sedan thru a peat gravel/ clay road on the Western side of park. Eastern side is paved with a parking lot and restrooms. Good for a picnic but not somewhere I'm gonna go back to spend more than a couple of hours.

I couldn't finish any of the trails because of rotted boardwalk. I put that in my first post. Nonetheless, I think many people should go there. This park is entirely Cypress Swamp, none like it north of Myaka. Some one might have access to agencies that can help.
There is no camping. It is a day park only. Open daylight to dusk.
No
they are permitted on a leash. . If you do the upper trails, Sand spurs are plentiful right now as an FYI(August)
No, not at this time. There are multiple trees crashed into the railings along the walk. We didnt see any signs of work being done to restore it.
As far as I know as long as they are on a leash they are fine
Yes. You can access it from SR 39 and 640
Is the Boardwalk in Homeland open yet???
