We just moved to the area and had an emergency last weekend. Unfortunately we had to put one of our dogs to sleep but the staff here was amazing and comforting. This was our first experience at a vet in this area and they were so nice and didn’t rush us when saying our goodbyes. I worked in vet medicine for years and have seen good and bad, but the staff here was so good to us on one of the worst nights.

Very supportive, caring, and extremely competent staff. We were impressed with the service we (and our cat) received, as well as what we witnessed for others. We will be returning for any specialty care needs. Come prepared for what seems initially a very hurried, business-like interaction, as their priority will be getting the key facts they need to get your pet into immediate/emergency care. After they've gotten that out of the way the staff are incredibly understanding, kind, and helpful.

We brought our cat to see the oncologist team at VRA. His primary had seen a growth on his pancreas. The vet was very cold...no people skills. But the main reason for the 1 star review is the unnecessary procedures they put my poor elderly cat through. They should have told us that his kidney levels would preclude him from any surgery or chemo if he did have cancer. They only told us this AFTER they did a needle aspiration (biopsy) I mean if there is no treatment what is the point of putting your pet through unnecessary procedures? He came home in rough shape after that procedure and suffered. They had his blood levels before the procedure was started. He is doing better now but this place only cares about money. Shame on them for taking advantage of a family's love for their pet. Oh and to top it off the needle aspiration was inconclusive. She never informed us it could come back inconclusive. Weigh the pros and cons better!

Pet insurance companies basically have you pay for services, then they reimburse you. Our our part tends to be getting you the necessary paperwork that they require. In some instances you can be preapproved by the insurance company for certain procedures or emergency situations, but it's still between you and them.
Yes, Emily does acupuncture at VRA. Shes great.
