I am currently homeless, and as a park it's beautiful for what it is. It's a great center piece during the farmers market. The other homeless know to keep themselves in line and not panhandle, so I like to go there because I know there will be no drama. The Officer that Patrols the area is very nice and helpful. They also allow people to feed us. It's It's great place.

Great place to visit anytime. Especially love First Fridays, food truck rally on 2nd Thursday, and every Saturday morning Farmers Market. Every Friday summer night music.

This is a beautiful area. There are a lot of nice little shops and several great places to eat! A relaxing and enjoyable time out.

They have already started decorating the town and munn park
It is made to honor those who fought and died in the Civil War, by the daughters of the American Revolution (I believe.) Most Confederate statues are not built to lift up slavery, but they are instead set up as a memorial that we (all Americans) should fight for what we believe. But times change, and the meaning of a memorial may or may not bear that meaning anymore to the citizens alive today.
Look at the City of Lakeland website or their Facebook page.
The mayor forced its removal against the will of the local community.
They are planning on putting a carousel there I read. I won't ever visit that park again after they moved the Confederate monument. I'll go where the moved it and pay my respects to the honorable Confederate Soldiers who died.
It's free, but you must let the park administration in advance .
There is no street address, it's borders are Main Street to the South, the railroad tracks to the north, Kentuckey to the East and Missouri to the West.
