They have lost their contract with PSTA, ending in June. Getting my uncle to dialysis on time has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. Thank goodness for Bonny and Cheryl. They’re the best employees at that place who answer the phones. We haven’t spoken to Bruce lately in dispatch because my uncle isn’t on the 6a.m. Pickup any more, but Bruce was also great. Everyone else there has always been short with us when all we want is information about getting my uncle to dialysis on time. It’s really sad and mostly frustrating!

I have been a client of Care Ride for over two years, I am mobility challenged and require the use of an electric scooter for mobility. I have had wonderful service and courtesy from Care Ride. The operators are always friendly and professional, the drivers are safety minded and attentive. With servicing over 1700 clients a day, the company does a phenomenal job at getting to you and picking you up. The company should institute a compliment program to make it easier for clients to provide feedback, one thing would be to put the Van Number on the inside of the van in client view, along with the Driver's name below the Van Number. While the drivers tell you their name, you often forget their name as you do not see them often enough. I am very pleased with the service I receive! I often praise Care Ride to others! Dispatchers should have to ride routes with drivers so they get an understanding of what occurs. Phone team is Awesome at office...Bonnie, Cindy, Donna Beth, Cheryl, Tammy, Steve, and Kim and I know i forgot a few will re--edit when I remember

Careride used to be a relatively reliable transport service. However, since their recent acquisition by BayCare, everything has changed. Out of the last 10 daily rides they have been outside of the 30 minute window by an additional 15-48 minutes 5 of 10 times. Out of the last 3 rides, they have been beyond the window 3 times (late 48 minutes, 38 mins and 39 mins). The last few weeks have been especially bad. I would estimate that around 40% (!) of the trips during that period have been well outside of the pickup window. To make things worse, they are transporting minor children on the Autism spectrum who have no ability to arrange alternative transportation. Careride customer service isn’t helpful when this is happening. They don’t inform you if they are running late. And when you call to find out what is going on, they treat you like a nuisance at best or are downright rude at worst. They tell you “we are doing the best we can, Sir, we are short drivers”. And when you push back about it being unacceptable to continually show up so late, they state “Sir, public transportation is also late from time to time”. While this is partially true, I assume that is why the window exists rather than a hard pickup time (it gives them 30 mins to arrive beyond the beginning of the pickup). In addition, public transportation isn’t 45 minutes late 50% of the time. Upon speaking to the PSTA it sounded like the person receiving the complaint was bored. I asked if they had already heard this today. She said “every day, multiple times, you have no idea”. Clearly this is affecting many people. And I assume many, many more that aren’t lodging complaints. PSTA needs to work with BayCare to come up with a working solution. This transportation option is for the most vulnerable citizens in our community. It’s a great responsibility, and should be treated with great care.

No idea how people on here can complain about this wonderful service. Evidently, they haven't tried Wheelchair transport or Yellow Cab/United. I have only had two issues in 3 years. Both involving the same driver who is unsafe/unfit. Everyone is accommodating and careful. Very friendly. I do prefer the men because some of the women are very unhappy. There are some drivers who use profanities which I don't like much. They ALWAYS bring you to the door of where you are going and even help me open my door to my apartment when I get home. They bring you inside to the place you are going but are only allowed to the front doors or take you up to the desk. They have rules which I think are great. No smoking! I just wish they would get rid of this one driver. I made a complaint about him once. I've only had him twice. Also, the DART fee is very reasonable. I am mostly homebound and for me to get out, speak to another human being and just to look outside is such a treat. They are always nice 98% of the time. Don't listen to what the others are saying on here. They don't know a good thing when they have it. THANK YOU Care Ride for making my life better and more manageable!

No however it is only 4.50 per trip.
Well i dont work there.
They follow the PSTA bus route areas. We've used them from safety harbor to Tyrone mall area in St Pete.
Care Ride mostly runs by a program that's done by the PSTA which is the Pinellas County bus it's for people that are unable to ride to the the bus due to handicapped elderly age wheelchairs Etc and the rides only cost $4.50 each way however if you do not have that program you can do private pay and also ask for info on how to apply for the program.. then the rides are usually $30 each way plus $2 per mile but it all depends on the situation they also do not take insurance. They're open every single day of the year even holidays they're open from 8am to 6 p.m. you can call and ask any questions you have.
Not a good place to work
Not hiring at the moment but you are welcome to put in an application
