I deeply thank Directions for helping me coupe with my mental health issues. Ive suffered tremendously in the past and still suffer to this day, yet directions helps me endure. Throughout my journey since i was a child and teenage years i didn't know what was going on.. much later on i was referred to Directions and was diagnosed in 2007. I moved away for a while and came back. My counselors and all other staff members have truly helped bring a sense of normalcy to my life. From Maurice, to Miranda and Jennifer Hancock, I've always been in the best of care. This is a life long battle full of ups downs, yet they continuously work with me to help me succeed in life and help balance me and my issues. I will always be grateful and thankful for everyone here.

Tried telling me that I refused an appointment for medicine I clearly need when the words out of my mouth we're not declining the appointment but said that doesn't give me enough time I can't go without my meds I need a supervisor. Clearly never answer the phone been calling 2 weeks straight left message for other supervisors who never return calls and then I get the first available apt is 3 weeks away whenthey were the ones canceled my apt due to no internet whenall of Pinellas county had internet and power yeah I checked that as well

I've been to several mental health/counseling facilities and this is by far one of the worst. I've been a client here for 6 months and both the therapist and psychiatrist who were seeing me ended up leaving during this timeframe. Then, they did not have enough slots for appointments since they had a short staff. They have a high turnover rate because their staff is terrible at communicating. I often have to call 3 or 4 times to remind them to send my medications to my pharmacy. This is UNACCEPTABLE considering that the clients they see often have mental health conditions and cannot be days without their medications. I will be changing facilities this month because it is draining to have to constantly call and basically argue with the staff so they can do the bare minimum.

Directions for Living told me they take my insurance. I made an appointment had one session and afterwards they then tell me they don't accept my insurance and proceeded to charge me a couple hundred dollars!! These people have verbally abused me for weeks. Their behavior is unacceptable. This is insurance fraud and I am reporting them. On top of insurance fraud, their counselor was inexperienced and said my physical disability was "all in my head". They are unprofessional and will be investigated as I am seeking legal representation.

I receive free services from Directions via a referral from the county Health Dept. Just sign up with them and they will gladly offer mental health services as well as primary care. Not sure how not having a home address might affect you.
If not what? I don't understand your question. The hospital gives you a month and paperwork for a place like directions which is enough time to get into directions and get the correct meds...if your looking for Benzos then you need a private doc as government run facilities are phasing out Benzos
It's a mental health doctor's office
Yes
Antoniette is correct at that intake you get an appointment for a counsel and a psychic and thats when u get your meds..But you can go on Wednesday at 8 am and go stayby for any cancelations and see one then. That way you get you meds sooner..Hope this helps.
Beware! Stay away from that place! Extremely unprofessional! No one knows what their doing at all! They are completely clueless in the area of mental health. Truthfully, I don't understand how that place even stays in business.
wait what i didnt know that
