We came down here to have a go at kayaking and I couldn't of asked for a better experience. Fortunately the park was not busy and we were able to back right up to the trail that went straight to the water to launch the kayaks. With a little effort getting the kayaks to the water a short carry of a few minutes we jumped in. The park has some great little pathways to explore and opens up to a part of the Gulf. We paddled up and down the coast stopping at a lookout tower where we checked out the view and took a brief swim. Ran into a couple of people spear fishing and saw boundless schools of fish throughout. Saw a few Rays also in the shallow parts as the ride came in. On the trek back to the truck I enjoyed interacting with a turtle for a few. (Pics attached)

I really like being pranked by a trail as to where the exit is /is supposed to be. Rocky Creek is cool.

Beautiful hiking trails. Kids love the tower. Very secluded beach fun and animal friendly!

One of my favorite local parks and truly a hidden gem. Several short trails within the park as well as a connection to the Anclote coastal trail. Walk down to the water, take in the observation tower, walk the boardwalk to Anclote Park. Dog friendly, people friendly, nature friendly.

No motorized vehicles allowed on the trails
Pretty sure, as it looks like Dorian will miss us on this side
Unknown what it is. Duke Energy installed it a few months ago. You may want to try and contact their customer service at 800.700.8744 from 7A-7P.
there are NO authorized swimming areas at this park. For swimming you can go to Anclote River Park beach.
Yes absolutely! 5 minutes of walking and you are at water. There are several spots that are more secluded for privacy. I will add, there are ants and small crabs that come out of the sand pretty consistenly to watch out for. If you bring a mat, it should keep them from popping out at you at least a little. This is definitely a trail to explore. The trail extends to playgrounds, fishing areas, bike trails, beach access, boating docks, and so much more. There's also a tall tower overlooking the ocean that is magnificent. I'd say if you haven't already been here, make sure to go. You won't regret it. 👌🏻
County park. Also the gate closes at sundown
When ur walking the path the dog needs to be on the leash but r r allowed when u get to the beach to take them off so they can run in the water there every week
yeah you can bring dogs have to be on a leash it is a nature Park so it's not just wings and real nice cut grass but it's really nice
No, there is no swim area at Key Vista Nature Park.
There is an area in front of the observation tower at Key Vista where you can launch a kayak/canoe. So does Anclote gulf and Eagle Point parks.
It's short, but connects to the pier. That is a nice walk too. Also overlooks Anclote Island. Enjoy!!!
Yes, hurricane Irma downed a lot of trees throughout the park. I'm not sure if Fema was involved. Mostly saw park and county trucks. Have a great time in the park.
