We had a wonderful day on the water a week ago. Luis had the boat clean and ready. He was professional, friendly and very helpful. We'll be back next year if we can.

Luis and Mick were fantastic! Knowledgeable, personable, serious when they should be, light-hearted when they could be. Instructions were impeccable and wished we could have done it again!

Overall a good experience, the boat we had performed as it should but the only instrument on board was the tachometer. Tampa Bay is pretty easy to navigate and the staff were attentive and helpful. I wish their boundaries were a little broader and you are not allowed to go into the Gulf and must stay in the intercostal for the most part. We used 8 gallons of gas that cost $35. The full day from 9am to 5pm came to $516 including gas and tax. We had 6 people on board. We went south to shell Key which takes about 1.5 hours because you can not go fast in certain places.

The crew at Mad Beach is full of ideas on how to make your day on the water special. After all, we play on these waters all the time, so make good use of our experience. Some of our favorite spots and how to get there include: Shell Key (boat rental, jet ski tour, charter), John’s Pass Sandbars (boat rental, jet ski tour, charter), Bunce’s Pass Sandbar (jet ski tour, charter), and Egmont Key (charter only).
The fleet at Mad Beach Boat Rentals is comprised of a variety of boats. The fleet can change from season to season or even month to month as new boats are added and older models removed. In general, no vessels or motors in the fleet are older than three years old.
Yes, in Florida you must now have a fishing license anytime you put a line in the water. Contact the FWC for purchasing a fishing license at 1-888-347-4356 or at myfwc.com. Fishing is not available on all vessels; check with staff if your vessel can be used for fishing.
No, for safety and insurance reasons we do not allow the vessel to be used for any towing activities. We do provide a Captained option for those who would like to participate in watersports such as tubing, wakeboarding, and waterskiing.
We require a $500.00 deposit per vessel. This is most commonly done with a major credit card, and the funds will be released once the vessel has finished the Return Check-In.
Yes, we do!
For safety reasons, everyone must be back at the docks at least one hour prior to sunset. Our operating hours are 9:00 AM to 1 hour before sunset, every day if the weather permits. Vessels participating in our Dock Side Delivery & Pick Up may only operate one hour after sunrise to one hour before sunset.
If you are not taking advantage of our Dockside Delivery & Pick Up, all vessels must board, depart, return and disembark from our docks at 8612 Bay Pines Blvd, St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
