Waitress was fantastic but two of the plates that came were well over cooked, the country fried steak and the chicken breast they we're almost burnt. I didn't complain and we just ate, we came all the way from Cleveland to rittman and just wanted to get home 🥺

Short staffed so service was slow. Our waiter was very sweet and did the best he could given the circumstances. The salad and green beans were very good. However the dark brown gravy on the mashed potatoes and chopped steak was extremely salty. The chopped steak wasn’t of the best quality. It was a bit chewy. I ordered the add-on for the pie and that was a disappointment. The size was extremely small. When I brought it to the attention of the girl behind the counter she said that they use a cutter that equalizes all of the slices and that that is just the size that it is. You can decide for yourself if this looks like their normal size for their pie. I suppose inflation is really affecting everything, including desert! The picture is exactly how they gave it to me. I had not taken any bites out of this pie. If this is the new size for a slice of pie, I will skip it.

Let’s start with the coffee; it fired up all my happy cells. (I’m going to miss that cup of coffee!) Now onto the other details: the restaurant is conveniently accessible to nearby hotel guests by the access road behind. All the staple items (eggs, meat, grits) did not disappoint. We were seated promptly and the service was down-home! (They are currently stocked up on some cool 4th of July shirts!)
