Questions & Answers

I’ve been prescribed Tramadol (maximum daily dose of 400 mg) for the last ten years for chronic back and neck pain but now I want to come off of it without the withdrawal, do you offer any solutions for my particular situation?

Thanks for your question, Steiner LB. Withdrawal from Tramadol can definitely be difficult, painful, and even dangerous--so should be approached cautiously. If you're going to wean down, that process would need to be done very slowly over weeks or months. As an alternative, our Accelerated Outpatient Detox has worked well for many patients using even higher doses of Tramadol than the ones you mention here. It would probably take at least 5 days using the Coleman Method. If you want to learn more, please call us at 813-321-3563.

Is this a methadone clinic? I'm looking for a place to help me get off methadone. Any answers will help, thanks!!

Hi Shannon--Thank you for your question. No, this is not a methadone clinic. We provide addiction treatment services, including detox off of opioids and alcohol. We have a lot of experience helping patients detox off of methadone in a safe, effective outpatient process that typically lasts 8 days.

Is the Bridge Ear Implant for opiods addition offered?

Hi Cheryl--Thank you for your question. One of the advantages of our Accelerated Outpatient Detox is the relative comfort level it provides for our patients. Since we are always looking for ways to improve and stay connected with new developments in the field, we tried the Bridge device earlier this year with several patients in one of our sister offices and discovered that it didn't really offer any added benefits. We will definitely keep exploring this device as they improve it, as well as evaluating other new developments in the field of addiction medicine. If want to learn more about our mode of treatment, please give us a call at (813) 321-3563. All the best!
