More than a decade ago I came back from a deployment to Iraq and wanted to start a fly fishing program in Alaska to help wounded soldiers learn to fly fish as a form of physical and emotional therapy. I approached Mossy's and they were entirely supportive. They helped point me to some wonderful folks to help teach fly tying (Alaska Fly Fishers), to some guides that would become partners with the program, and each time I visited they were nothing but positive and welcoming. I walked into the store this evening and saw those same welcoming, smiling faces. It just made my day! Thank you Mossy's for everything you do for the community and for your kindness and friendship. Keep it up! Gonna catch a fish tomorrow on the recommended fly I picked up today. See you next time I'm in town!

I just started fly fishing less than a week ago. I went to this shop to pick up my first fly rod. the gentleman at the counter Help me pick everything out that i will need and showed me how to correctly tie all my knots as well as explaining how everything works. Just a over all great experience . Ty Mossy's Fly shop you just got a customer for life.
