The difference between an open and a closed rhinoplasty is that the open approach has a small extra incision under the nose between the nostrils. The scar heals up just fine almost all the time. I do both approaches. It just depends on what work I need to do inside the nose. As for the non-surgical approach there a few limited circumstances when this can be useful. Mostly when someone has a dent or a bump on the nose where people want to smooth the edges.

Thanks for writing. This is an important question. The reason to stop smoking prior to plastic surgery (among many) is that smoking impairs blood flow. This is more important in some procedures than others. It is crucial in facelifts, breast lifts and reductions and tummy tucks. But it is preferable in all procedures. Hello Maria, Thanks for write! If you can do both at the same time. We do it regularly. We do liposuction and use your fat on the buttocks. Recovery is eat 7-10 days. Then your stomach will be straight and your buttocks will be round. We want to see you early!
