Portions were small. Fish was over fried. Thinnest porkchop that I have ever seen. This was our first time there and I don't think that we will go back.

Great service and friendly staff. Would have been five stars, but my biscuits were Pillsbury's, not homemade as one would expect from this type of restaurant. Everything else has been great. Been back several times and I always enjoy the atmosphere.

Not a bad place for a small mom and pop shop, and I think breakfast might be a better meal to enjoy here, but overall the place is just ok. I ordered the Reuben and Fries with a Pepsi (can) and the total came to $5.30, which is absolutely amazing - talk about a sweet deal. Now, the service was 3 folks; a guy on the grill (who seemed a little overwhelmed), a lady doing the hostess and waitress work and some bussing, and some guy that just walked around - kinda odd. The waitress was very nice and did a good job. I did see them cook some things in the microwave, which I am sure lots of restaurants do - but it might be better to put it in the back as I watched them pretty much cook someone's whole meal using the microwave. Again, my food was pretty good and the price was spot on, but not sure I would recommend.

This place is a true diamond in the rough! We stopped in Moundsville for a quick stay overnight and after a quick search for breakfast we stumbled onto Grandma Jo's Polkadot Cafe. We could not praise this place enough. The prices are great and the food itself is extraordinary! I ordered "The Shock" and haven't been that satisfied with a breakfast in ages. On top of everything else, the service was stupendous. I can't recommend this place enough. A welcoming family atmosphere with delicious food at unbeatable prices, what's not to love?
