This park is a good sized place for any family. It's a hidden gem if you live near it. Easy stream access, camping zone, even archery and fishing. There's a lot to do and plenty to see.

Did the 2 mile REI River Trail. The trail is great. You can find it on All Trails to follow the trail loops. Lucky for us it had not rained in a while so the trails were dry and well marked. But I can see how they would be muddy and covered with rains and if the river would flow over. So keep that in mind. There is a lot of parking, bathrooms, play area for kids and ample picnic areas. There were a few fire pit areas that would be nice to use. Stopped to enjoy each overlook we came to. Those were a nice touch. Planning on returning in the season to do the longer 5 mile trail (4.9 miles). I recommend you check this out. We went on a Sunday around 11am and there weren’t many people there so it was really relaxing and nice. Our only sad part was all of the trash. The river overflows and deposits all of the trash (mostly plastic) all over the landscape. It was so sad and makes me want to being a trash bag with us the next time to pick up what we can reach.

This is a nice park for families to enjoy. The playground is designed for older children 5 and up. There are several picnic spots with tables available. The trails were not paved where we started and not accessible for people in wheelchairs. This park is pretty big, so there could be other parts that are paved. There are fire pits available to use as well. The path to the bridge consists of mulch and is pretty easy-except for the steep hill at the start of the trail. Springtime is great for seeing all of the wildflowers!

Very nice park for metro area. The disc golf course is it good beginner course. The park also offers archery range, a playground for the kids, hiking and biking trails , and catch and release fishing ponds. All in all not a bad place to spend the day with the family

Yes. They have an inside room. Not for a big wedding but very nice
As far as I know, open year round. Park closes at dark though.
They allow dogs in the park. Also can walk your dog on the trails.
Backpack camping only. No RV camping.
Yep
Yes, very established. Campsites also, but the distance between them is minimal so not much fun for overnight backpacking - unless you have little ones I suppose.
There is 2 entrances off Jackson Pike. The smaller entrance to the north is more of just a canoe access. The main entrance is just a little bit more south.
