If you love outdoors and walking regardless of the weather this Scioto Grove River Access has the trails for you. I love the combination of observation decks and finished trails mixed with grass/ dirt trails in the trees when you take the River Trail. The water is always beautiful and it's easy to feel like you're in another world entirely. It's a great place for the whole family to explore. A tip though: wear shoes you're okay with being a little muddy afterwards because no matter what season it is if you go on the dirt trails or ones that are unfinished your shoes/boots are getting muddy so just expect it and prepare for it. Happy adventuring!

I love Scioto Grove Metro Park. And, I go there at least 3 times a week. Right now, the summer wildflowers are in bloom and just beautiful!

Such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, you will come across trash on some parts of the trails, but for the most part, it is well kept. Bathrooms are near trails and there is water you can play in. There are a couple of "beach" areas where you can sit near the water and rest a while, too.

Nice little park. Well maintained, with paved and unpaved paths. Beautiful scenery, picnic areas, and monkey bars. Too muddy for me to walk to the water, but the meadows were full of color and bird life.

From the MetroParks.net website: "Backpacking is available along the REI River Trail for those just getting into the sport, as well as those seasoned backpackers who want a quick overnight without having to journey several hours. Backpacking is free and reservations can be taken by calling 614.539.3339. Backpacking registration opens April 1 for 2019. Backpacking starts mid-April and is available every other weekend (Friday and Saturday nights), through to the end of October"

Yes there is 5 camp sites if I remember correctly, but they are all pack in. The parking lots for #1 and #2 are pretty close if I remember. Would highly recommended site #2, as I enjoyed it quite a bit.
