On Friday, May 20th and Saturday May 21, 2022. North Star Moving Company has overwhelming succeeded again where no other movers would willingly do for us! This is our third move using them and I'm happy to say they continued to exceed our expectations. I must mention their names because they are the best group of guys. Austin came to our old place first to look over all the things we would take and pack. After he looked and gave us an estimate, true to his word, North Star never exceeded the rate. Our one day job turned into two days and one, very late night. We were blessed to get Noah (the team lead), and his team: Grandville (G), Jose and David-who helped on Friday but not able to come on Saturday with the rest of the crew which returned for both days. Anyhow, this group of guys were honest, reliable and careful, not just of our stuff (prescriptions, gold & silver collection, jewelry and money) but of their time as well. I asked Noah why he kept looking at his watch and he told me that they were taking a five minute break and then get back to work! I was blown away! Truly, they looked out for us in other ways as well. They made a total of six trips back and forth from our old place to the new house. They set up all the furniture that they took apart too. They stayed with us until midnight. They would not leave us high and dry by stopping off furniture and leaving. They placed down carpets, made sure all beds were put together so we could sleep on our own mattresses, put their own carpet runners being respectful of our new flooring. They even opened one box because my son forgot his medication and they knew exactly where it was since they labeled the boxes for us! This was no ordinary move either. We had so much furniture, and I am older so I needed the help packing as well. This group of great guys went out of their way to make sure things were done right. Our breakable items and furniture arrived in perfect condition too. We bought them food and drink. They never asked for this, but we felt compelled because of who they are. We were so grateful for all their help. They are worth this review and more. We tipped them well because they earned it.

The day I moved LA had rare torrential rain, but you wouldn't know it was unpleasant because the guys all kept it light hearted and there was plenty of laughter too. Thank you to Jairo, Kevin and Elizar for an easy, quick and professional move!

Inquired several companies for my move from California to Texas and ended up getting a referral from a smaller moving company that wouldn’t be able to do our move since they are limited to 2 bedroom apartments. After reading all the reviews about Northstar, I felt pretty confident that I would get excellent service for my long distance move. My last move was a local move 8 years ago and had a great experience with the moving company; however the reviews started to reflect poorer service so I decided to go with Northstar. From the very beginning, Northstar was responsive and Lorena was my moving specialist and was so easy to deal with from the very beginning. We did the virtual estimate and gave me a price, which was high but knowing that the costs for moving have gone up, I thought it was reasonable. 3 days prior I sent them an updated inventory and Lorena sent me an updated estimate which increased the cost but I added a significant amount of items. On move day, the crew called when they were about 40 minutes from my home. Manny, Alfonso, Willy and Mauricio came into the home to confirm what needed to be taken. They arrived at 9AM and and finished everything at 3PM with a lunch break in between. All 4 of the guys took a lot of care when wrapping and would make sure to point out any damage that existed on my furniture. I have a 2800sq ft, 4 bed/3.5 bath home and was amazed at how efficient and professional the guys were. I give them 5+ stars for an awesome job. Thank you Northstar for an amazing experience and making things so much easier. I’ll write an update once I arrive at my new home in Texas and receive my belongings. I don’t anticipate any less than 5 star service when I get to my destination. Thank you guys!

Thank you NorthStar! Manny and his crew were fantastic, they HUSTLED, and made our move so easy! We had a very complicated move, going to 3 (!) destinations, our house was a complete disaster and only halfway packed on moving day, everyone was panicking, the forces of chaos were abound, and it was POURING RAIN the entire time... but the crew patiently listened to what we needed, arranged all of their gear and work area, then jumped to work. We had to sort all of the items by destination, and the crew got it 100% correct, so when we got to each place, the unload was super fast, and we didn't have to re-organize anything! I'd find it hard to believe that any other team of movers could do the job faster than they did. The 3 person crew was in perpetual motion, working as a team to simultaneously (un)pack/wrap and lift as necessary, which saved a lot of time compared to having 2 people. Because our last destination, a storage place, closed early that day, we were on a tight schedule, and they got us all the way through, with time to spare. I felt the hourly rate was fair, it included all the fees, and the material costs were reasonable. Valery was very helpful setting it all up, she was responsive and made sure we had the right information and timing. She even took the time to follow up and repeat all the details for me the day before the move, just in case I had questions or any issues, which I really appreciated.
