After a domestic violence event with my mother, the blessing of a safe place to be for a night was welcomed gratefully. Thanks to Officer Collins and Darke County Police Force, I was safe and returned to my vehicle. The motel staff / owner were NOT a reflection of the care and compassion of Darke County at all. If I were an advisor I'd be ashamed to know that all the effort these officers out into the safety of their residents ends with a place run by cruel people. I thankfully, I know what credit goes where. I also know that God sees the deeds of all of us. I'm counting on God to correct what's wrong there at the Towne House motel.

Ive lived in Darke most of my life. This place is not youre high dollar luxury hotel, but i have spent many memorable nights here over the years with friends. Point is, they offer a service- Cheap room for the night. ive never had an issue with getting or any of the staff.

Found a hypodermic needle stuck in exhaust fan in the bathroom of room 120 and my relatives that were a homeless family with 3 kids were waiting on thier ride was put out in the cold 15 min after check out time in a snowstorm i would NOT recommend staying here , my mom bought them food it was all ruined by the warm refrigerator that kept nothing cold the first 24 hours of thier three day stay my son made enough to keep the room a fourth night but had to use the money to feed his kids as thier refrigerator ruined the food , but the drug dealers you can tell which rooms they are in had company all night long , my daughter in law got in trouble for having me come sit with her kids as she needed to goto the e.r. and when she asked for the wifi password they told her she didnt deserve it called her at 8am wanting to know if she was leaving or staying , staff is rude and uninviting ...this made me give it one star but they truly DO NOT DESERVE IT

This made me rate this place at least a 1, but it doesn't deserve any thing less than being condemned. We had drive 10 hours to this area for a dirt car race and after driving all night and staying awake all day to attend the race we definitely needed sleep. Well we got the sheets and pillows out of car we brought along and put them on top of what they tried to pass as a bed because it looked like the comforter was from when they opened in the 1950s. What was supposed to be 2 bath towels was actually the hand towels from a kitchen. Bath clothes looked like they had been used to clean something but it definitely could not of been this room. So now that I told you about the pros of this room, I will tell you the cons. If you are desperate enough to actually stay here once you enter. I hope you don't mind the smell that I can only describe as a mixture of stale cigarettes, human urine, and god awful body odor because that is the lovely fragrance that greets you from outside the door. I sprayed the whole room with deodorizer that I keep in my car and I mean the whole room, walls, beds, floor, TV, ancient window air conditioner, and entire bathroom. We all fell asleep immediately. I woke up to use bathroom and the smell was back in full force so I took my happy tired ass out to my car and slept like a baby!
