It was great for the experience and nostalgia. The food was not fantastic nor was the service. It wasn't terrible. It just wasn't great. The portions were large. A good place to go to check off of your Hollywood visit list.

We had been wanting to try Mel’s Drive-In for awhile now and finally decided it was time. We went last night a little more than an hour before closing. I loved the theme and the music. The food was great! The cherry pie was delicious. They make an amazing blueberry martini too. Everyone was super friendly.

On 2/12/2022 Super Bowl Weekend, The Hard Rock was not taking reservations and it was empty. So we decided to go to Mel’s. The food at this location is delicious. I ordered the smash burger, it was smashing. Great Service. .

I had to come here for its iconic nature is a big allure for me being that it’s a diner I love brunch foods… The atmosphere was just like I expected! Food was pretty good I just had issues with service being slow and it wasn’t busy at all. My Bloody Mary tasted off and was filled with spices it tasted like salt and pepper only and my celery was old and they were out of olives for it. My shake was excellent and very crispy salted fries! I suggest getting lunch over breakfast here.

Breakfast seems to be a specialty there! There are almost too many wonderful choices. You can't go wrong!
Everything is sold at the front counter (immediately when you walk in) Shirts mostly, but also a limited selection of a few other assorted items. (magnets, metal signs & enamel pins, etc)
Actual restaurant with a 50's Drive-In interior theme. You go inside to sit down, table service. Not drive in like Sonic.
Yes they do it's great
Hollywood Mel's opening date unknown. But first Mel's opened in San Francisco in 1947.
