You'll always feel like home whenever you come to this parish! Down to the parishioners and priest, they make sure you are loved.

Father Antony is very passionate in his ministry, and his love for Jesus is very evident in his homilies and actions. He does not preach to his parishioners what he himself is not willing to do. He is very bold in proclaiming the gospel. He has a very good sense of humor to wit. He is a great, selfless leader. His primary focus is nothing else but the salvation of his parishioners. The parishioners are very friendly and vibrant people. Devotions to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Eucharist are very evident and their prayerfulness is certainly evident. It is a very inclusive place, with various ethnic religious practices represented. At times though, there is too much movement and noise inside the church disturbing the silence required for meditative and contemplative worship. As some have commented, there are no pews in the church. However, a capital campaign is going on to build a new church.

St. James is configured as a hybrid social center/hall and church. It does not have pews but rather it has folding chairs for seats. For social events, they can pull a moving wall into place and block off the sanctuary, rearrange the chairs, and use the building as a social Hall. On the weekends, they pull the moving wall back and line up the chairs. Not exactly a traditional Church. But they recently built a standalone social center building that looks nice, so maybe they have plans to reconfigure the church.
