It's a great hiking place and there are many trails from easy to hard hiking levels. The one we went was very steep and good for beginners. Carrying water is better as it's too dry and no shades in many trails. We didn't see any animals other than cows grazing there. Saw few birds 🐦 Can bring pets. Parking was a problem from the gate we entered. Had park on street and not far from the gate.

Lots of cow. There options for shaded and open field trails. Free parking.

Great place to go for hike in January- February as the grass is green. Hard trail hike takes around 3 hrs to complete. Great city and hills view.

I walked 3 miles to get here so I only visited briefly. I used the water fountain at the staging area and followed the All Trails sign to the green gate and pushed it open. I walked to the second gate where the trail splits into two directions followed the path to the first hill and climbed to the top. Excellent view! Totally worth it!
