Short stay and WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! I found a $400 charge by residence inn on my account. I called to inquire about the charge and was accused of stealing pots, pans, and dishes. I never got a call of investigation however, I was told by the person who answered the phone that the manager left a voicemail for me. Upon checking my voicemail, there was no message from anyone at the residence inn in San Marcos. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. This facility has no checks and balances for room inventory and when asked about it there was no solution. Their products aren't even mediocre, they're cheap and of poor quality. No thank you! DO NOT STAY HERE!

I got married nearby and every time we had to stay somewhere to plan we stayed here! It is such a clean resort with friendly staff. The breakfast was the only upsetting part, there was almost nothing to eat or drink. The rooms were perfect and accommodated both bridal parties in their own suites. They were very understanding about keeping the parties separated, which we appreciated.

Stayed over the weekend for a wedding. Literally didn’t have a functional toilet our entire stay and had to use the lobby bathroom. When I called the front desk to alert them of the issue, they said they would get back to me on a solution. I had to call back 2 hours later since I hadn’t heard from them. They eventually dropped off a plunger which we tried to use (on an issue we didn’t even cause), and we still could not get it to work. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

hotel is not a cheap one and is in a nicer area of town. That being said, it was not a wonderful experience for the following reasons: our suite had no toilet paper, towels, shampoo or soap. The button that controlled the curtains was broken in both rooms and the master bedroom light fixture was broken and cracked around the ceiling. The toilet broke twice during our 3 night stay. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, so much so that by the 3rd night I was dreading going to bed. There were multiple switches that did not operate anything, the phone was inoperable and the handicap shower bench was improperly installed and falling out of the wall. The entire floor smelled strongly of fermaldehyde for some reason and the hot tub was broken and had been drained. If you want coffee you better be ready to be in the lobby by 8:30 am to grab it before they put it away. The breakfast (also only available very early) was lackluster. Overall I kept asking myself, why are we paying so much for this place and why are the pictures and reviews we saw online so very different from the reality? My advice is to choose another place to stay.
