I launch my boat there often. The new launch could have been designed a little better so that waves from passing boats would not create waves into the launch area. Positive, we are able to enjoy free ramps in San Diego which is a very nice privilege. Enjoy.

We’ve only been in San Diego for a few days, this has been our favorite spot to spend most of our time. There are so many Air B&B locations to stay at around the area and plenty to see and do.

If you go here for July 4th, then you'll have one of the best fireworks show ever. Simply amazing to watch the Big Bay Boom from this location. Be prepared for a ridiculously long wait to get out of the parking lot. Speaking of parking, it'll fill up fast so park and walk in might be your only choice.

No public camping...Go to Campland on the bay...
Well when I have been staying in a hotel across the street from Shoreline Park I observed a motor home that would park in the park's parking lot during the day and then at like midnight he would move the motor home out to the street where there is Oversized Vehicle Parking (white curb).
There are 3. One above the boat launch, one by the play ground and one by the harbor Police at the end of the island.

Yes. Small but nice. Construction going on right next to it.
No not after 10 pm or you'll get ticketed..sign says it's okay to park overnight as long as your pier fishing but we found out that that's not true if you're in an RV it's only true if you're in a car what a crock so unfair
