Took 6yr old granddaughter for the 1st time. We were going to be seated in the back, she asked for us to be moved to the "dark room" she ordered a banana ramma milk shake. She liked it. We ordered onion rings to start. They were huge and delicious. She then ordered grilled cheese & hot dog(didn'tlook appealing). She ate the fries that came with them, never touched the rest. She ate the bacon & tomato off my BLT. Then the staff did some kind of line dance. It didn't take much prodding, she joined in & had the time of her life! The turkey & mashed potatoes were yummy, the Dede burger & BLT were too. We ended by getting a Ninja sword balloon made up for her. Memorable time!

What a cool experience to have in San Diego. Everyone here is super friendly and gets into the Diner character. There is also an Arcade and on Saturday night they had a Live DJ. The food on the other hand is good. Not great or epic. Especially for the price of $100 for a family of 6 (4 kids 2 Adults). I was expecting so much more. That said it was definitely a treat to come to such a legendary place. God Bless!!

The good: fun atmosphere especially for kids. The arcade entertained my kids to no end! My pastrami burger was huge and tasty. My wife got the Rory and said it rocked. All the food not on the kids menu was good. The service was fast and nice. It’s clean. The bad: they charge $10 for all kids meals. A corn dog and an applesauce pouch don’t seem to be worth that to me. This just seems a bit predatory not so much accommodating because they know kids will be coming here. I paid $92 before tip for two adults and four kids. Half that cost was just kids meals. The milkshakes were nothing to write home about.

Went to have lunch customer service attentive and friendly. Food is good and also always good music. Kids love the arcade. If you want the diner experience this is the place to go. Also be aware they add 18% gratuity every time I have been there. Chili Cheez Waffle Fries-criss cross fries topped with our famous sting ray chili, melted cheddar cheese & green onions Kookie-grilled onions, Swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, mayo & pickles Boneless Dinosaur Wings-boneless breaded chicken strips tossed in our hot wing sauce with celery & carrot sticks, house-made blue cheese dip on the side B.L.A.S.T.-bacon, lettuce, guacamole, swiss, turkey, tomato & mayo on toasted sourdough

There is a straw lady and she makes for example Minnie Mouse bow tied into your hair. It's cute and the kids love it. It only takes her a few minutes. Just ask your waiter or waitress where she is I think she just wanders around the place and does it
Yes they do a song and everything - ask about the dancing
$$ Great Food. $12-$18 a plate. But well worth it. Game cards will get you for sure. Great entertainment and fun atmosphere. Worth every $
Yes, at Cunpleañero they give him a bowl of snow, whipped cream and sprinkles and they sing Happy Birthday to them. There are no discounts.
I do not know, but their prices are very reasonable. I suggest you call them directly.
I think that might be too big of a crowd to accommodate 17+, they might suggest 2 or 3 big tables if you are lucky.
They've never taken reservations. The only "reservation" you can do are private parties.
