They normally are very helpful. If the people at the front desk don't know, they will ask in the back. IHSS is great if you're a senior in need or someone in need of a job.

So far I have asked4 times through phone calls to please send me a waiver, I have also asked through 2 emails it's been 2 weeks and I feel like no one cares, while I need help. I don't know why Irene won't call me back
Sarah Roberts
So rude and unprofessional. Irene says she sent the paper out to me for my orientation and that its not her problem when I informed her that it never arrived. She yelled at the top of her lungs that I would have to come in to the office and sign something to get another paper as she was only responsible for sending it and the rest was up to the mailman but she would not allow me to get it while at the office and would not mail me another just by calling. I told her I had been calling her and leaving messages for almost a month and she said that's too bad ma'am I'm busy. Even though her machine tells me she will return my call within 24 hours! I could not believe how mean she was to me. Will be happy if I never have to deal with this lady again. Unreal! So disappointed.

The workers in San Bernadino who answer the phones put me on hold or, don't answer the phones at all, the calls go directly to the fax or you are to leave a message. If they do answer the phones they are dismissive with any questions I may have, and if I leave a message I can always know I won't have a return call. I have been informed from the workers in San Bernadino county, that there call center is known for being rude and inconsiderate to everyone who calls in and, they also informed me that other county call centers are run more efficiently while they are more respectful to there patrons.

Reapply over again
If you pass your background yes they do back pay to the date the clients application was done but just keep track of the hrs you have been working
Yes it is open to the public.
Yes. I had clients that are veteras
Yes just go in and ask for the paperwork. They will instruct u on what to do next
Hi, no you can't. They do a background check.
Go to IHSS I don't know where you live and pick up an application and then go from there if you have cleaned or did any kind of a domestic work that's part of IHSS help nurse driving shopping there's all kind of things you can do to get a job at IHSS
San Bernardino county is $11.00. Riverside county is slightly higher
Yes
Front desk
To register as a caregiver you don't need to have a client. Once you enroll the IHSS can put your name in the list of providers so clients that are looking for someone can call you. Hope my answer help you.
Medi-cal coverage is needed for a participant to qualify for IHSS. A person also needs to be in need of assistance with activities of daily living, such as they need help with walking, bathing, meal prep, laundry, dressing, bowel/bladder care, cleaning their home, etc. The Medi-cal Eligibility worker will determine if the client's medi-cal will be free or will the client have a share of cost. The share of cost is the monthly cost that the client will be charged before Medi-cal picks up the difference. Each person case will be different. It never hurts to apply for medi-cal or IHSS if you need help.
You can call the IHSS and they will look it up and give it to you or she needs to call or give you permission to talk for her
Nope there real kool about that stuff
The people that works at this office are wonderful I had I got all my things done in 2 days and they gave me the right paperwork I'm waiting now to be able to get a client I have to sign up for the register they told me I will receive a letter but they have already contact my personal preference so I know I'm good and I am happy that you guys have good workers I'm glad that I'm going to be working for the county of San Bernardino adult services Ms, Barbara Monroe Hall
You do one class, can't remember for how long, 2-4 hours I think and you're done. There isn't much training.
You'll have to call IHSS or public authority (both are in the same building) Or go there and talk to someone. They are opened, there are workers at the door that can answer questions
There max authorized hours which it says when your linked as there provider
Yes I'm sure over the phone..
I think so. It's to help elderly or people with handicaps to do chores and errands.
U have to call the number u have when they pick tell them to give you your worker extension in case you get disconnected.
Call Public Authority for register to find a new provider is that what you trying to
Yes, just let your Mother's worker know where she's transferring to;)
No your fingerprints stay in the system for 1 year you just need to call either the place you got them done at or Sacramento and request proof of your background results
You have to go to the office in San Bernardino and pick up a fingerprint app.
No they will be open Thursday.
If you mailed in your timesheet perhaps it did not make it to the processing facility. Sign up for telephonic timesheets, or electronic timesheets you can get paid a little quicker. You should definitely sign up for direct deposit.
I don't k
Dont know u so i dont have to give u my number
When you first start a client it takes about a month
It can take from 30 days or more my fiance just. He is done everything changed now
Like 30 days after you have to get put into the system
You have to go to your IHSS local office and ask for the form...
Call the client's social worker and they can request a duplicate
If you find clients on your own or if clients hire you directly you can work for multiple clients in different counties. If you work through the public authority registry they only refer you to clients that reside in the county that you live in.
Are you a provider? If you are, go to the nearest IHSS office and take your ID to change your address.
The day after the last day in the pay period always.
etimesheets.ihss.ca.gov
You can give them a call in the morning and find out, I'm not sure where you should go,🙏🙄
Pertaining to that, I would call and find out, because they don't take out Federal and State, but at the end of the year, you still file but it a different form, just call and ask to be sure 🙏👣💃❤🙄
Annie is correct. Never mail them before the 15th for the 1st pay period or before the last working day of the month.
They are at 784 e hospitality lane
It depends on what you need
I would notify the IHSS social worker regarding clients change of address so that the system may be updated
Does he have a case with In Home Support Services? If not he needs o start a case you can do that by calling 211 then he can assign you his caregiver. If he does you have to attend the orientation and have him sign a paper assigning you to his case. If he has a case call his case worker for info
Not sure but you can call and find out
A person must have a need for assistance for an activity of daily living (ADL) that they cannot do independently such as clean their home, cook, bathe, laundry, dress, walk, get on/off of furniture, etc. Along with having a need they must have medi-cal or qualify for medical.
Kimberly Gideon, which one were you referring to?
I believe you can get up to 120 hrs a month. But, it all depends on what kind and how much work is needed from the client. Some needs are mor e than others. When you get your hours , then you can decide how you want to break them up. You disgust with your client what days would be good and how many hours for those days. Always keep a record of hours and days worked. Just for back up.... hope I was of some help for you
Your entire life
You call them and let them know that you have a client, they will tell you what to do form that point.
SSI OR DISABILITY
784 E Hospitality Lane. Orientation is on Thursday's at 9am. First come seating. Arrive by 8:15am.
Phone number
Call the clerk who sent you the interview letter to reschedule your interview. Always communicate with staff.
Sorry IHSS cannot assist you with your venture in that sense. The County of San Bernardino contracts with vendors. Requests for proposals go out, and agencies place bids for said services. They may be posted in local papers- not quite sure. You might want to visit places where seniors and disabled people congregate at such as senior centers most cities have one. Senior living apartments might let you post on their community board. Make flyers- distribute. Take ads out for bus stops, side of bus advertising. Good luck on your venture.
They just got an increase I think in the beginning of the year, not sure when they will be getting another one, but may be you can call them and inquire about it. 😇
I think you call department that issue out the checks
If you have not worked in a year or more you will need to start with the background check/fingerprinting. Then you will need to find clients on your own or sign up to be a registry care provider where the public authority refers clients to you. Good luck.
If your wife is getting SSI or permanent disability you can call IHSS of your county and ask for assistance
If your wife is on SSI or PERMANENT DISABILITY yes, you can be her 24 hr. In Home Care Giver. Just CALL the IHSS in your county and they will tell you everything you'll need to know and do to get you started. It's very easy and they will back pay you for back to date of disability
Yes
You can sign up for the registry through the Public Authority to have clients referred to you. The clients interview you and hire you if they choose to do so.
Mine came in the mail

Go to public authority and ask why u haven't received them
