Came here to enroll for a primary doctor. Turns out it was pointless since they only help you get a plan but if you have one you have to call and change it yourself. Staff were helpful and we we're attended right away

As someone who is privileged to work at the Wellness Center at the Historic Los Angeles County Hospital at 1200 N State Street, there is no superlative which can describe the true caring , concerned and empathetic attention a client or potential client will receive there from the Navigators, Security Staff or the dozen or so non profit organization offices there eager to assist clients with their medical, or social services needs. From Legal Aid, to LGBT information, Gang Reduction Programs, Housing, Immigration, Evidence based health programs for seniors via the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (serving all ethnic groups) as well as cooking classes, yoga and exercise classes and more.

There is a parking lot on State Street just North of Marengo Street and from the Marengo Street side it looks as though you are entering private property (decades ago it was and owned [still is] by the County of Los Angeles) due to the very high 12 feet black wrought iron gates which are no longer in use. The FREE parking lot is directly across from the main entrance of the hospital. It is a ground floor only lot meaning it IS NOT a multi-level, multi-story garage. The lot extends about 300 feet back. There are no on-site lot attendants (there is a lot attensant's shack) and no parking meters. At various times the lot is full and require a search for an empty space. On Marengo Street there are metered parking spaces. If this was found to be helpful please, LIKE and rate. THANK YOU!!!
