Great place with lots of very cool rocks and great and very friendly staff. They also have a great flock of beautiful Peacocks.

I really like this place a lot. They no longer allow you to dig your own thundereggs, but that's great because it's so much easier to let them do the digging @$2/lb. The drive is beautiful. There are so many rocks from around the world. Hard to find (older stock) of jaspers, agate, etc. One could spend all day here and not see all of the rocks. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable people.

An absolute paradise for rock lovers 😍 I drove many hours to go here and was not at all disappointed. There are so many rocks from all over the world, and also a beautiful gift store with lots of treasures. I could have spent all day here, and all my money. I can’t wait yo visit it again sometime (soon!🤞).

Traveling from crater lake to hood river, stopped by this lovely store on our way. I loved this store that carries different types of stone. Will definitely come back if I travel Oregon next time!

I was there last summer. There was no public digging; gift shop was open. Great place to explore.
Yes using you can get there with a two-wheel drive but they will not let you go until the ground is hard which is all summer they open in May and close in October best time to go is now when it's the hottest and driest fall is good to I have a Honda I've done most of those back roads in my Honda it's front-wheel drive I hope that answered your question
Casual
They won't re-open for digging. There are 2 Richardson's left. They don't have the ability to take people out. Insurance issues too. They do have a lot of product available to buy. The shop is open.
As of right now they have no plans to reopen digging. They've also reconfigured the shop since that's the only part open
When we were there they said there open 365 days a year.
They have rock saws and tumblers and such. You might look on line.
The Richardson family
Overall, prices are reasonable. There are some very expensive mineral specimens and fossils commensurate with size and rarity
Yes, they take orders and ship.
