Cook said she didn't see my order so my dinner arrived late. I did not get what I ordered , fish and chips (didn't get any chips. Was first time trying this place and I have shared this review on all of the platforms I use.

It was a very disappointing experience. The shrimp was a bamboozle job. They actually gave me Costco‘s tempura shrimp. I was looking forward to having fresh shrimp not tempura shrimp and especially not from Costco‘s. I say it’s from Costco because I have a box of it in my freezer at home and I buy it regularly. The place was highly recommended and coming from out of State, I was really looking forward to some fresh Portland shrimp some and really good fresh seafood. The collards were mushy, tarter sauce and the coleslaw both were warm which I didn’t try to eat due to mayonnaise. The hot sauce was OK because it was Frank’s. The catfish was the saving grace, it didn’t taste frozen and thawed out, it taste fresh so I give one star

This was the best catfish ever! My sister really enjoyed her cod. The young lady who cooked the fish was so nice and it was hot as heck in that kitchen. I will be going back and sending people over that way.

The place had a great feel and everyone was helpful. I enjoyed the catfish. It was flaky and the breading was the perfect complement. The potato salad was the bomb. Cole slaw was a little on the bland side and the bummer for me was the over baked cornbread (this kept it from having 5 stars).

Questions & Answers

Is 42nd Ave. fish and chips wheelchair accessible?

Carole Green | Jul 24, 2020
Ibor Yang | Jul 25, 2020

No. Legally, it can not be considered wheelchair accessible because there is not a proper wheelchair accessible ramp. The small business has fewer than 25 employees and is located in a residential house, so it neither has a wheelchair accessible ramp in the front nor rear entrances.
