This state park is amazing! They have a lighthouse, museum, gift shop, campground, lake, picnic areas, and dunes. The lighthouse and museum cost $8 for adults to enter. I've been to a similar lighthouse on the coast for free, so we didn't feel like $8 was worth it, but if you haven't been in one before it might be worth it. The campground is really beautiful and you can get to all of the things mentioned above with a short walk. There is great T-Mobile service in the park. We stayed in a deluxe yurt which was super nice. Each deluxe yurt has three full size beds and a twin sized upper bunk, two desks, a coffee table, dining table with four chairs, microwave, full size fridge, two heaters, a fan and ceiling fan, ample outlets, a grill, picnic table, fire pit, tv, dvd player, and bathroom with shower. You need to bring your own bedding, towels, soap for the bathroom and dishes, and cooking/eating equipment. They also have carts to move all of your stuff from your car to the yurt. It takes less than a minute to walk from the yurt to the lake. The lake has a trail around it that is 1 mile long with an option to add about .25 miles to the dunes if you wish. On the walk you'll find many different picnic tables and benches to enjoy. The walk is flat with a nice wide trail, some sections are even paved. There was one section that was way too muddy to cross, but if you had good boots or it hadn't been raining all day you would be fine. There is also a sandy beach area of the lake with parking and bathrooms right beside it and a view of the lighthouse. If you want to go to the beach you'll have to drive there or walk through the dunes for a long time. There are plenty of sandy beaches around the area. I would highly recommend this park for camping or day use!

Yes, you can go to the top of the Lighthouse. Tours given daily. Art Gallery and Gift Shop are well done, and delicious chowder and treats. Great way to spend some time at the ocean.

We did the lighthouse tour and it was super cool. Very interesting history at the museum, not just about the lighthouse. However, the part of the tour where you get to go up in the lighthouse and see the inside is super neat! Cute little gift shop with a Cafe too.

It is beautiful here in the forest. Its very quiet and can hear the Fog horn. We backed up to a view of lake Marie. The light house is very close by. Great camp. 🏕

The entire Oregon coast is alternating tide pools and great beaches. My personal favorite area for tide pools is just south of Yatchets at Cape Perpetua State Park. There are groomed trails to get there but be ready to get damp from surf spray unless its calm
