Adorable place where I recommend stopping by. When we went for breakfast, it was full of regulars which was sweet to see the server chat with. The prices were good for portions. I think the pancakes were a little to dense but the bacon was cooked perfectly. Again the atmosphere was the best part and so clean!

Came for breakfast and it was great! I had apple pancakes and Katy had a scrumptious breakfast burrito. The burrito consisted of egg, bacon and sausage with salsa. Teralyn served us expertly and kept our coffee cups warm with plenty of refills! When you're in Sutherlin, Oregon definitely a first choice for a quality eating experience!

This place is amazing!! My buddy got the breakfast chicken fried steak and it came with a huge side order of biscuits and gravy and 2 eggs...I got French toast with warm apple cinnamon and whipped cream, sausage and eggs. The waitress was lovely. The chicken fried steak was crispy and amazing. Coffee refills as soon as it got low. 10/10 will stop here again. I love traveling and finding great food spots... this is one!!!

The Apple Peddler was est in 1987, as the menus will tell you on the cover. One could surmise the restaurant hasn't seen much, if any remodeling since then as well. On the surface it appears to be a lovely, and even stylish 80s diner. However. The trim is peeling in several places, sometimes held on by scotch tape, the bathrooms are frighteningly unhygienic to say the least, and the old 80s ceiling has certainly seen better days. The faux leather booth seats were old, peeling, and cracked. The places not disguised by trim looked unclean, and untouched for years. The service. I was seated fairly quickly upon entering, the staff was kind, and even a bit overly attentive. The waitress stopped at my booth every time she passed, which was considerate at first, but became an annoyance as time went on. Bring me a variety of condiments before the food arrived. The service I would actually still give a 4/5. After roughly 30 minutes the food made its way out. On to the meal itself. I ordered a chicken fried steak, with over hard eggs, and a side of 3 pancakes. No drinks, but their less than fresh tasting tap water. The chicken fried steak was hard and dreadfully dry on the outside, the batter inconsistent across the whole steak, thicker/thinner in several places. My eggs were cooked decent, albeit a bit slimy on the surface, some of the yolk not having cooked thoroughly in some places. Finally, the pancakes, 3 dry, rubbery pancakes, that without a fair amount of sugar/butter lack almost any flavor. The value of this experience i would say is on par with a local lackluster Sharis. If you are simply passing through, and need something to eat on the way out, it may be worth it, you won't find much better sit down for some miles in either direction. If you aren't overly hungry though, opting to go to the next couple towns over, isn't a bad decision, unless you really want to try this places desserts.
