Man, the security guard hovering over you is uncomfortable and relentless. I get the troubles the public library has, and why this is necessary, but the rest of us didn't do anything? So, how about you treat the rest of us like adults? I don't need some uniform to be standing over me every 5 seconds? It's common sense that adults, treat other adults, the way they would like to be treated. And I DON'T LIKE a person to be standing over me! Who the hell does?!

Good Library for the most part. But I'm not sure why a children's play area-equipped with blocks, toys, etc.-is placed inside a library. It makes the library sometimes seem more like a McDonald's PlayPlace.

This is not a Regional Library. If you need to visit a Library on Sunday the closes one I know is North Hollywood Library but their hours might differ.

Maybe it depends on the book or item being borrowed - you can call them at the branch and they can let you know
To receive a library card you fill out an application in person at any Los Angeles Public Library location, or download the application form , fill it out and bring it in to any location, or pre-register over the Internet by visiting the Library's Web Pre-Registration Page.
Miriam, There is a knitting group that meets weekly at the library. That's all I see on the events schedule, but do check directly with the library for more information. (818) 764-1338
