Purchased cologne from Beauty Encounter as a third-party retailer for Walmart.com for a steeply discounted price (~$35). It turned out to be a fake cologne. The cologne bottle looked different and the smell was noticeably different. When I compared this cologne packaging, bottle, and fragrance to two other bottles purchased at retail price (~$95) from a high-end department store (far right in picture) and Amazon.com directly (middle in picture), it was clearly not authentic. I alerted Walmart Customer Support and was refunded my money. My experience seems very similar to other reviews.

Buyer Beware!! Don’t let the prices fool you, you WILL get what you pay for. I ordered a Clinique Happy set and received a lotion that was in liquid form and smelled very old. The perfume wasn’t as bad, but it definitely isn’t Clinique’s Happy. I also ordered Sunflowers perfume, which was fine. But the two Sunflowers lotions I bought are in 2 very different bottles. One bottle looks used and smells old, the other one was fine. There are plenty of other sites with discount fragrances, try one of them instead of this one!

I decided to do something new and ordered through google. This company had the best price on some eyeshadow I wanted. I ordered 2 since it is hard to get and they sent 1! The invoice states they cancelled 1 but they did not change my credit card charge. So who do I go to? Beauty Encounter or Google. First and LAST time shopping with Google.

Received my Mother’s Day Jo Malone English Pear Cologne from Beauty Encounter today and I will be returning it. I have been wearing this scent forever & this item smells of alcohol, it must be old. Plus, it didn’t come in the regular Jo Malone box. My husband didn’t realize I usually purchase this perfume from Nordstrom, he ordered through Amazon, missing the Gift w/ purchase from Nordstrom and the authentic product they always provide. Beware of purchasing Jo Malone from this company.
