We reserved a car and went to pick it up and they said there are no cars available and told me to go walk to another car rental down the street. So if you want to waist a bunch of time rent from here.

Rented a car and when I got there to pick it up they said sorry we don’t have any cars available and you will need to make a new reservation some where else. Super inconvenient to drive all the way there. Why did they accept my reservation in the first place. They should have called instead of allowing me to waste my time and gas to get there. Really disappointed with budget.

I gave Budget Rental Car about 17 business days to respond to my message but still have not received a phone call/email. I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied in their customer service, and they show that the could completely care less about their customers. I tried initially calling them and explaining what happened, but they told me to call back in the morning... (I wasn't going to do that. I work.) I then left a message for them on budget rent a cars website... and still nothing. Here is the message I left for them. "Hello, I rented a 16' truck on 7/14/2016 (Rental agreement # redacted for review). When I had completed my residential move, I drove the truck to the Shell Gas Station at 2249 Harbor Blvd and filled the gas tank to max capacity. I then drove .6 of a mile and attempted to return the rental truck on 7/14/ 2016 to the Budget Truck Rental at 1989 Harbor Blvd Costa Mesa, but was unable to do so since it was past hours and a sign notified that the keys could not be left in the drop-box so it was left overnight in the Budget lot. I returned the next morning and the Budget representative I spoke with informed me that the truck was only at 3/4 of a tank. I informed the representative that the truck had been refueled the night prior and even showed the credit card charge for the gas purchase. Noticing that this was odd, I inquired how this could happen and if it were possible for someone to siphon gas out of the vehicle. I also noted that there were video cameras facing the parking lot and asked for a review of the tapes. The Budget representative informed me that he had no access to the cameras and that the manager would have to review the tapes. The Budget representative then informed me that I had two options, I could either go fill the truck to maximum or they could fill on site but charge me a premium. I chose to refill the truck and returned to the same Shell gas station from a night prior. While I was refueling I noticed the truck started leaking fuel all over the pavement. I called the same Budget center I was just at and informed them of what happened. They told me to grab a receipt and return the vehicle. I brought both back. The Budget rep went out to inspect the vehicle and informed me that the fuel hose had been disconnected. He reviewed the gas receipt from Shell then proceeded to charge me an additional 8.37$ to fill up the remainder of the gas tank. I was asked to fill out an accident/incident report. I still have not been contacted by the manager." This has been a horrible experience with Budget and I am still waiting for the manager to call me and tell me that the security tapes were reviewed....

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RENT HERE! I made a reservation a week ahead of time for a 14' moving truck to be picked up at 9:00 AM, at 8:00 they call me to tell me that they do not have the truck and there is nothing more they can do. They refused to contact customer service to locate another truck for me and said I had to do it. After much going around it turns out that they had a 26' truck available but wanted to charge me for the 26' not honor the price I was quoted for the truck that they did not secure for me. Again after much back and forth, the 14' price was given to me. I let with the truck knowing that it needed to be returned with a ful tank, I drove just under 21 miles total and when i went to get gas I found that it required diesel, this was never mentioned to me, since this truck was so large it would not fit under any gas station canopies and I turned the truck back in to the location. Then they told me that I would be charged a $30 fueling fee, this too was never mentioned. I told the guy at the counter that I am willing to pay for 3 gallons, this is about what I used. You would think that they screwed up my reservation in the first place they would have a little better customer service and try to accommodate me better. I asked to walk the truck to confirm that there was no damage that he did not want to do it, after demanding it, he really looked for something but found nothing. I asked for a receipt, he refused, I asked for him to sign that there was no damage, he again refused. I took a picture of him with my paper that I was required for me to sign that there was no damage when i rented it and I wrote 'NO DAMAGE'. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM, THEY HAVE LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ONLY WANT TO NICKLE AND DIME YOU.
