Great experience for children to get a one on one lesson in a safe environment. The horses are gentle and calm natured, and the trainers work well with even very young children, treating them as young citizens and expecting good behavior around the horses. Easy scheduling, with automated reminders.

I spent a short time here.. I don't know where to start. Several horses were lame, some ex track horses are still only trained safely in one direction. Several horses showed aggression towards students, one horse would NOT stop no matter what I tried to teach, a few of the horses are under weight. Their arena was NEVER tilled. Their fencing has nails sticking out of it. None of the students were taught basic ground work. I've worked on much nicer facilities, coming to this one I seriously lowered my standards. Students are being taught that this level of horse care is acceptable, and it's not. No kid should be on a horse that shows aggression, only goes one direction, or any horse that is obviously lame. I will probably receive flack for this. I DO NOT recommend this school. Maybe its improved since I've been there, but while I was there it was obvious no one thought anything was wrong.

This is an amazing barn, and Sabryna is by far the best riding instructor I have ever had! The horses are all so well trained, responsive, loving, and well cared for. The stalls and arena are always in impeccable condition when I arrive, and I adore the love and affection each trainer holds for the horses. If anyone is looking for an instructor for a beginner/intermediate rider, Sabryna is your girl! She comes up with fun and exciting exercises, makes me feel comfortable and supported when trying new things, and really has a way with horses. Her teaching philosophy was exactly what I was looking for when I arrived at Horse Sense, and I plan to take lessons with her for as long as I can! My boyfriend and I are so happy that we found this place and this instructor :)

We love Horse Sense! My daughter (age 6) has been riding there for about 6 months now. Alex is amazing! She has taught my daughter so much. My daughter is able to command any horse they have her on. The other staff are amazing as well. Our entire family looks forward to our weekly visits to the barns. We get to love on the other horses while she is riding. I also love their mission and how the horses come to be at horse sense. I can't say enough great things. We will be a horse sense family for life!!!

No, we don't offer boarding at either location at this time.
Nope. Their rates are available on their website. http://www.horsesenseridingschool.net/
We have some very high functioning disabled riders that do well, but we don't have volunteers, side walkers, or special equipment. Riders should be able to mount, dismount and ride without extra assistance, and be able to learn the techniques required to ride independantly. None of the staff or horses have training specific to that population, and that is an important thing to consider (especially in the horses' training). Riders with higher needs would enjoy the excellent therapuetic riding centers in the area more.
