Amazing in the winter! It was my first time visiting when it wasn't covered in snow, lovely view and everything, even a river! But not very much to do. Reccomend for thr view and maybe walk but it's also not the best place for kids, it's all rock so I would be a little careful.

Awesome place if you can show up early before all the rush of people. Awesome place to hike/snow shoe.

A nice small safe turn off for the family to get some snow fun in. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. But I just blame a gross society for that... The bathrooms were well stocked with toilet paper and you could tell that there were deodorizing items being used in the bathroom. It still didn't make up for the gross people who decided peeing all over the floor was necessary... 🙄🤦🏼♀️ Overall a very nice place to pull over, stretch your legs, and safely play in the snow a little ☺️

Great place to take photo's of Mt. Hood and just explore. The terrain here is fascinating and gives a different perspective. I took some closeups of the water and sand. There were interesting textures. Come here to relax, read a good book, or clear your mind. Kids will have fun creating makeshift dams from rocks too.

There should be, or see are in for a major drought this summer! 😥
Thoeretically, this parking lot is not supposed to use overnight. Having said that if someone checks your car or snow plower comes, you may (or may not) have to relocate your car in the parking lot... There are $25 mazama lodge you can use instead of sleeping in the car...
You're probably good with just some boots or trail runners!
Yes, there is a pit toilet, and it's usually even open when the parking lot is not plowed.
Always be prepared with chains! Should be enough snow as long as the rain holds out but it is supposed to be a warm week. My hot tip is to check the "Trip Check Road Cams" online here closer to the day cuz they have cameras set up down 35 and 26 which kind of let you see the snow level near the road. It's primarily for traffic but it can be useful to see road conditions as well as snow level!
Yes, cell phones work there, but very dependent on your service. On the way up. Most providers and cell singles are bad/weak. So be prepared.
Yes if the roads are in good shape. Check Trip check first.
I visited there yesterday. There's ground coverage of severel inches snow
You have to bring your own sleds. it's not a facility like ski bowl. just some great hills and lots of snow.
