It's a scenic resort in the Mt Hood area. It is a ski resort for winter. We went in summer and used the air tram to go to the top. You can reserve those online or buy them over there if seats are available. There is a pretty good gift shop too.

Great ski resort. Close to PDX and hotels. Not very crowded and good runs. Convenient restaurants and ski shops at the bottom of the lifts. If you get it on a sunny day after a few days of snowfall it is nearly perfect! My wife and I loved our weekend snowboarding there.

Mt Hood Meadows is very well run. I go to a top-notch Colorado resort every year (Vail- Beavercreek) and I always comment along with my husband how much better Mount Hood Meadows is run than a five star resort. Yes mount hood can get busy. But it’s so nice that they have the automatic ticket checker at the Lift lines. We especially like the new Sahalee lodge where we had a great lunch recently. I love that they offer organic local and vegan options. The AlpineSteube restaurant in the original lodge also does a great job with their menu over the years. Mount Hood Meadows has always been home for me I grew up skiing on this mountain when I was five years old and to have my family be able to ski is so nice. I wish it wouldn’t get so crowded sometimes but I guess that’s just how it goes.

Yes, there is a good deal of cross country trail on Mt Hood.
We don't have anywhere to sled at our ski area, but people do sled in the Sno-Parks around us like Little John, White River and Snowbunny. These parks can fill up on the weekends so we recommend going early.
