Please check here before buying your next pet. Also, be sure to support the PSPCA by visiting their thrift store. The money you spend there goes to helping folks find a new friend.

They had puppies, adult dogs, kittens, adult cats and other adoptable pets. However, if you want to meet any of the potential pets, you need to make an appointment to do so. You're there to look through the window to pick one to meet. The price has gone up for adoption as well. Be prepared.

This is by far the cleanest SPCA I’ve ever been to. The facility is very new with lots of space. There is glass windows everywhere so you can see all the animals. The staff is very helpful! This SPCA is very unique. Doctors have the capabilities to do some major surgeries here. They also have extra funding to do those surgeries. The facility is also equipped with some advanced medical devices. Check out their website they have pictures and videos of all the pets for adoption.

It was my first time adopting from a shelter but their facilities are great! Eveything is cleaned and all the animals are so loved while they're there! I went to adopt 1 kitten but I left with 2 kittens! It was great and I felt safe the whole time there!

As long as it's not open. I realize this is 3 years old lol but someone else might need this answer.
Most likely. They'll take as many donations as they can, leashes and beds too
I've been looking for a little female also.
Yes I believe you can donate on the website. 🙂
I can't see your full question but if you are looking for a medical grant I would call chihuahua rescues and possibly try Ian Somerhalder Foundation. I know they help rescue centers I'm not sure if they do individual grants. Also if you haven't tried yet possibly try to get carecredit. I'm sorry you and your dog have to go through this it is very tough.
Armadillo was adopted yesterday. There are some other bunnies though 🙂. The website gets updated right away so all of the ones on the website are still available.
The last time I was in, they had large communal pens. The rabbits appear to be very social.
You would have to call down there to find out specifically or you can go on their website and see photos of the animals up for adoption
I would suggest Animal Spay and neuter up in Auburn for low cost shots, checkups, etc. They're off 49 and well worth the drive. Clinic opens 10-2 tues-wed-thurs.
I don't believe they'll euthanize him. They'll probably deworm and deflea him. And probably let you take him back I'm sure😁 he sounds I'll and definitely needs! Ty for looking out for him! Placer spca is a great shelter!
Bring them to the spca. They will care, foster, and find homes for all.
18, unless you are part of a "Junior Team" which is a 13-17 yo with a parent or guardian. Those interested in volunteering must attend a volunteer orientation. Then, depending on what you want to do, there may be other classes to attend. Check out the Placer SPCA website for more info.
If the toys can be washed yes and I believe they will except the crate and unopened food. You can drop them off at the intake center which is over by the Fairgrounds. If you go down Washington Blvd it's the road right after the Fairgrounds. Sorry about your little.
I'm sorry for responding to your message late, but I just got it. Any animal shelter/rescue would love to have a crate donated to them I would think, as long as it's clean.
I'm sorry but I don't live in Placer, but I think that Emilee Riffey gave you the answer.
Take them to the intake center over by the Roseville Fair Grounds.
I believe so, but I would call to double check.
Hi, I'm not sure if you are talking about Munno 🙂 but the adoption fee is $150. If you go to the website and click on the picture of the dog that you are interested in the adoption fees are at the very end of the description. If you are interested you should definitely make an appointment to meet him. He's a sweetheart 🙂.
You can call and ask. Also check with Sacramento SPCA.
You can see them but in order to have a hands on visit you need an appointment.
We accept unopened dry or wet dog food.
The old location does. They accept pets for surrender, will put them down if necessary.
Hi Vicky, we are sorry to hear about your beloved dog. We would highly recommened contacting your veterianrian.
Not to just look but if you are interested in a dog then you can set up an appointment to do an introduction 🙂. Sometimes you can do it right away if the right staff/volunteers are there for it.
They will probably have the information for the wildlife rescue.
They had a few chihuahuas last week.
Not sure. But this building is just for adoption. They have a separate building for drop off and vet services.
Try placer county animal shelter in Auburn
If it's for free they probably did. However they can't now due to covid-19. (This is all only an educated guess. I really have no clue)
Unfortunately the Roseville location spends the day with their doors locked. Entrance is only available through appointment times made by calling their number. I have tried several times calling, and left several messages but have yet to receive a return call. I'm sorry but I do not have a good answer for you
They are open but you have to call and make an appointment. It takes about 2 to 3 days to get a call back
It depends on the rabies shot given, check with your Veterinarian.
Unfortunately they will not put your dog down and Placer SPCA only takes animals from Placer County. You should go speak with your vet to see what they advise. I'm so sorry to hear this!
Only extra large ones
You can do it online with the SPCA or you can just call it by whatever name you choose.
Hello Karly, thank you for reaching out. We would like to hear more about the cat and your situation to find out how we can help. Please call (916) 782-7722 at your earliest convenience.
They usually have some puppies and some young dogs looking for a forever home.
They do not take animals as donations. However, if you need to surrender your dog, you need to contact them to make an appointment. https://placerspca.org/services/animal-surrender/
I was there yesterday and I saw a lot of dogs. But, the adoption fee is what sustains the Shelter. You could check and see about getting the adoption fee "Sponsored." I don't know if Placer has sponsors, but I know that the Sacramento SPCA has many animals sponsored all the time. People walk away from that Shelter, off of Bradshaw Rd, all the time with a new forever furpal...for FREE! Good luck to you!!
Minimum of 45.and usually with proof that it's yours.
You know that they don't answer on this right? Just call lol
I believe you wish to know if the Placer SPCA needs towels. I would recommend calling them and asking them this question.
You can take them to Placer SPCA. They have fosters who take them in until they're ready for vaccinations and spay/neuter. I'm one of those fosters!
I don't think they will take it. There's a wild animal rescue in Auburn, I believe but I don't know their name or number
125 dollars and yes they are spayed and have their first shots
My answer is a little less soft. Training is the only answer and neutering supports that. If your only solution is to cage the dog in an old car then just do what's best for the dog and surrender him to a local shelter.
You can look at available dogs on their website or you can go down to the shelter and check them out yourself.
I don't think they do that. You probably have to go to the vet.
Same day.
You'd have to call animal control about that
They have cats, so I think they would take cats, to re-home.
It's $150-165 for dogs. Sometimes they will have an adoption promotion that discounts the adoption fee.
Yep. They get other small pets some times.
If you cant afford a kittens shots you shouldn't have a kitten...
Should be very good especially them being pups
No, you would need to look into animal boarding facilities.
Usually if you say its a stray its free to him to get the help he needs.
What's wrong with your dog?? 😢
Probably not but if would not hurt to ask them directly
GO to SPCA they will help you. check all SPCA in surrounding area. They have binders full of dogs that are being fostered. SEARCH ONLINE. there ARE plenty of "PUPPIES" that need/want you. BUYING PUPPIES/GOING TO PET STORES/BREEDERS- IS THE EXACT REASON WHY THERE ARE SO MANY ANIMALS IN SHELTERS. WHY BUY WHEN THERE'S ONE SITTING IN A KENNEL WAITING FOR TO FIND THEM. UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T HAVE THE MEANS OF FINDING YOU.
Best way to get that answered is to call them. They are very friendly and helpful.
the fees are only the costs of the spay/neuter, shots, chip- which are less than half of what a private practice veterinarian charges. I paid $89 two years ago. 8 years ago, I paid over $800 to Banfield. and that was without chip
It's up to you. Give what you can afford. The money is well spent. If you can give it will be appreciated.
We primarily serve residents of Placer County. Fair Oaks would be under the Sacramento SPCA's jurisdiction. However, we adopt animals to qualifying applicants regardless of residence.
I'm sure they will but will likely charge a nominal fee. I would call them for specificd
They may under the circumstances. I would call them and inquire
Yes and so does Fieldhaven in Lincoln
need to surrender a cat. adult female...black with white markings...indoor ....fixed
Cream Cheese – Individual packages. We could use some individually packaged cream cheese. We use these to put medications in for our dogs, they LOVE it!!! If you’re able to donate any, please bring them in.If you are interested in donating any food, please bring it in. Please don’t buy anything fancy, any size bag or canned food will do (no prescription, please)!
Check the website. Fees dwpend on age and sometimes there are specials
I would talk to them directly. They might be able to hold until the first.
Yes but only during their events. Call for info
It's best to just stop by and spend a little time with "Betty" they are open today from 11am to 4pm. They will be closed tomorrow.
