Terrible communication between the nurse and doctor who advised me to return today to have my impacted ear cleaned. I was told to come back today for a walk in when they opened in the morning so they could assist me with flushing out my ear and then waited 3 hours before a nurse called me in only to tell me they never noted that my ear needed treatment and never gave me an appointment from my last visit so I would have to reschedule for the following week. After getting frustrated by the serious miscommunication and wasting my time, the nurse then told me the ear drops I had been using usually take 8 days of use before they’re effective even though the instructions say stop use after 4 days. She then said they could try to squeeze me in after the next patient, and while I appreciate that she tried her best to accommodate me, she then hurriedly flushed my ear with water and consequently spilled half of the water inside my shirt. I’m horrified and would not suggest coming here at all.

Worst experience I have had, waiting for a blood draw!!! I waited for 3 hours!!!! Even worse…. This place doesn’t even allow you to make an appointment! So …. You are stuck here waiting, on them!!!

My mom has an appointment this morning here. Even though the doctor who attend her helps her was so nice, the people who works in the reception in the first floor is absolutely depreciable especially one of the ladies ,who was eating the whole time, and the man who was there this morning (09-17-19). Most of the patients here are old people and they need to be patience with them. This place needs seriously give them some training in costumer service.

I work at EL MONTE CHC AND THE PREVIOUS ANSWER IS CORRECT. YOU SHOULD CHECK WITH YOUR INSURANCE IF YOU HAVE IT. IF YOU WOULD RATHER WAlkin PATIENT RELATIONS (check in plat the front windows by ramoo a entralnce) iS VERY HELPFUL NAVIGATING THE INSURANCE AND COPAY QUESTIONS BUT SOME PATIENTS DO GET THEIR MEDICINE FREE IF THEY QUALIFY. We are open Tues-fri 8-8 monday and sat 8-430. Pharmacy,laab and xray are open then too.

If you don't already have a primary doctor at El Monte chc you can go to rm 105 or the registration area jus t inside the front doors and ask for assistance changing your assignment and/or primary doctor to el Monte chc. Once you change you can be seen by a doctor in walk in clinic . You may want to go directly to public health if you already have a positive ppd.and your chest xrays is not. Normal.

They accept walk in , but u have to show up early because u didn't have appointment with the clinic , I won't say how long u have to wait in line, beside its best you setup appointment & when you get there , u don't wait in line.
60 dollars for each no insurance self-pay visit, lab and x-ray ordered in that visit included. Prescriptions pay by self. Referral to specialists is not available for self-pay. And, slots of walk-in clinic of El Monte always limited. Many people get in line around 7am. They have Medi-cal worker on-site to help you get insurance if you needed.
County health centers now primarily deal with patients who assigned to us by managed care like LA Care but we also have on-site social workers and clerks who are familiar with insurance can help you to see if you qualify for some kind of managed care insurance or you may qualify for 60 dollars per visit self-pay visit

How can I get a mailbox through El Monte comprehensive center so that I may look at my medical records online?
First they take all insurance. My Dr.J Shaw was great. Her staff was very perfisonal. Nothing but good care.
