We adopted a little special needs dog from Jelly's. They really care about the dogs that slip through the cracks here. The dogs that need extensive medical treatment, dogs that would be euthanized elsewhere. They are doing a tough job, and they deserve attention for it.

Such a great non-profit no-kill shelter. Hailey was so kind and knowledgeable. Definitely stop by if you are looking for a new furry friend.

Sadly, we had to return a dog that wasn't the right fit for an apartment, and Jelly's was very understanding. They were really nice in general; good people who run a no-kill shelter. We had zero issues with this place across two extended interactions. They're wonderful if you want to adopt a pet - just make sure your environment is a good fit first! :)

Such a good hearted place. You fill out a form and they match you with your ideal companion. They will bring out the dog or animal to come meet you. Most these animals need to be saved from china meat market

Sometimes we can take surrendered pets. Is there any way you can keep them or relocate them with family or friends? You can post them for adoption and keep them until you move. Some landlords will negotiate also. We would need to evaluate them, and request a rehoming fee. If you have no other options, bring them for an evaluation.
What kind of puppies do you have? I could adopt one send me a message
The dogs change frequently, sometimes we have pomeranians but not right now. Check out our other cute dogs
It depends on the injury and whether it's a friendly or feral cat. we don't have an in-house vet. We are able to care for sick cats depending on the problem. We suggest calling our staff at 510-621-3493 between 11am and 4pm or the county Animal control services for help.
hi Karla We are not set up for guinea pigs unfortunately, but hopefully you can find a guinea rescue.
No but if you adopt a pet that hasn't been, there's a refundable deposit to pay and they'll give it back to you when you do it. Also they work with Alpine Hospital in Concord and pay for it if you go through them.
I just got the most adorable pit mix 2 month old boy puppy, just perfect for us We originally went for another dog, but the handler informed us right away about a recently discovered problem that would possibly jeopardize a fit with our other dog. Well we are in love with the one we got. They are very conscientious and caring there. The fees are kind of high until you see that they cover vaccinations for a year, refundable deposit for fixing/spaying and microchipping. they seemed to have small dogs, but I don't know their ages.
Hi, we accept owner surrendered dogs but we need to evaluate the dog for temperament and behavior first. Please contact our office at 510-621-3493. Thanks
Happy New Year! They do. I've done it and it's pretty straightforward. Here is the link: https://www.jellysplace.org/how-to-help
We are taking adoption applications on our website at www.jellysplace.org/forms. Adoption fees vary according to the dog bred, age, special needs. We will update the website to indicate these changes. Currently we are showing dogs by appointment only, after an application has been received, reviewed, and accepted. Thank you.
I do not believe Jelly's Place offers classes but you might call and ask. They probably will have some good recommendations.
Closed mon , Tues, rest of days 12:30 to 4:30pm
Oh YES! They would love for him to volunteer! Call and ask when next volunteer training is and have him go there and fill out forms. Good Luck
We have young volunteers come in with parents, depending on age. Anyone under 18 needs to come with a parent to participate in the volunteer orientation and sign a volunteer consent form. Then, depending on the age, we may ask parents to participate in volunteering as well. We hope to see you!
Yes we do, come visit us! We're open Wed-Sun 11-5.
We have a female husky, about 1.5 years old named Sasha.
We have lots of beds for the animals right now, maybe the county shelter would appreciate them?
