This place is a wonderful place to take your broken appliances, anything electric, used batteries, used spray paint cans, unwanted household interior and exterior paints, chemicals, used engine oil and more. They are open on the weekends. You don't get out of your car, they remove everything for you. I recommend this place.

Super easy. Put the paint/e waste/oil in the trunk. Pull through and they take it out and your on your way. No mus no fuss. Someone will point you exactly where you need to drive, stop, and exit.

Nicest, most efficient team of workers around. I've been there several times this year, with an old microwave and several cans of paint. Can't get any easier, drive in, let them unload, and away you go.
Tony Goorchenko
Fast, efficient, courteous and professional. In all the times I have been there maybe two cars in front of me, but they unload two at at time, so no problem. Stay in car and pop the trunk. So easy and much faster than most Saturday local Collection Events I have gone to with friends.

It is against the law to transport more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste to collection sites. Please pack your waste properly to prevent tipping or spilling of the waste during transportation. For more information, please visit www.lacitysan.org/safecenters
No, we unfortunately do not. Our website states what we can and cannot accept. www.lacitysan.org/safecenters
Yes, we do. For more information, please visit www.lacitysan.org/safecenters
Tires may be dropped off at any of our collection yards from 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday, holidays excluded. www.lacitysan.org/yards
TL;DR - I don't know for sure, but... I've taken sharps there (razor blades). I put them in glass spice jars. They accepted those. I would recommend taking a load of stuff that you need to dispose of, that you know they accept (batteries, household electronics etc). They are good about letting you know how to get rid of what they don't accept (carbon monoxide detectors: contact the vendor). Good luck.
I believe they do as it contains a motor.
100% sure the do
Yes. I have dropped computer parts and older personal computers here.
No we do not. Call 311 and request a bulky item pickup
They do, but so does Office Depot / Staples for a discount on your next one.
Yes! There are no restrictions other than the 125 pound /15 gallon transportation limit. We look forward to seeing you soon.
DO YOU ACCEPT GASOLINE, AUTO OIL AND OTHER LIQUIDS?
No. The SAFE Centers are not recycling centers. If you are a City of Los Angeles resident serviced by LASAN, please break down your cardboard boxes, lay them flat, and tie with twine. If you place them next to your blue bin on collection day, we will take them.
Even better... we will collect it curbside for you at no additional cost. Please call our 24-hour Customer Care Center at 1-800-773-2489 to request curbside electronic waste collection. You can also make the request via the MyLA311 app or on our website at www.lacitysan.org.
