Canada Road is closed on weekends so you need to plan how to get there. 1) there is a bike parking lot two miles north, get there early for a spot, then walk along Canada Road or hike along the trail 2) ride share or get dropped off at the south entrance one mile south of the gates to the Filoli gardens, then walk along Canada Road. If you arrive before 10/11, then you will avoid most of the crowds. Follow the gravel path after the double gates and pass the drinking fountain to get to the simple yet beautiful temple. South of the rectangular pool surrounded by cypress trees is a circular concrete stage. North is a tholos dome, circular Greek temple with a well at the center (gated so no one can jump/fall in). Perfect place for photos, with friends or for engagements! I recommend using portrait mode and stand a little closer than you think.

Shocked at how many times I visited neighboring Filoli Gardens and didn't know this was right here Does have limited hours 9-4 M-S, but the parking lot is closed on the weekends. They also suggest you call in advance of your visit as they do book weddings and events and they can let you know the day of if anything is scheduled Gorgeous green lawns, the pool was very low on my visit but you are not allowed in it regardless. The lavender is in bloom and smells amazing right now! Saw families bringing picnics. Will go back now that I know

Lovely place, architecture looks so roman ! Great place to spend 30/40 mins. Small nifty parking open only on weekday, pedestrian access on weekends

The absolute best place for a wedding photo shoot! We did a very beautiful one here with a fantastic photographer and videographer on the day of our wedding. It was hands-down the best place to have a wedding photo shoot with the bridal party and just the couple. Not only is it free, but it’s absolutely stunning and gorgeous. You just have to organize rides, as there is no parking currently due to Covid. It might change soon now that everyone is vaccinated, but currently it’s still closed for parking only. You can walk in and it’s 100% fine.

Someone from the water department has to open and close it, and they don’t work weekends.
No cars are allowed to drive in on Sundays, maybe another day it will be ok unsure about the other days there is a ranger at the head of the road every Sunday they will be the best person to ask hope that helps .
The area including Parking is Gated, and they take 4pm seriously. You can see the temple from the street
Better consult a wedding planner for that
Yes. Take all the pictures you want. Lots of people were taking pictures. But there isn’t really much of an inside. It’s mostly outside.
"I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people." (Isaiah: 43:20)
My friend and I hiked there on a Sunday in August but the gates were closed. We could see it through the fence at least.
