Awesome place to let my high energy dog run! The dog beach even hosts fun dog themes events like Corgi Day (seen in the picture I posted). Like any place where there are large groupings of dogs, it's up to the owners to be aware and attentive to the environment to keep their own dog safe. We come here at least 4-5 times a month and most of those times are fun and stress free with fresh air and beautiful ocean views. HOWEVER we have definitely witnessed scuffles between dogs that are not being monitored by their owners and have also seen owners not picking up after their dogs. Apart from people like that, this is a great beach and I definitely do recommend becoming here!

So much fun to hang out with the family and our puppy! Everyone was nice. Wasn't super crowded (in January) and parking was easy. It's usually a zoo in the summer so avoid it! Please train your dog (socialize) before coming to the beach and pick up your poop!

Drove from Phoenix to celebrate Vader’s 4th birthday! Far exceeded our expectations of a dog friendly beach. Off leash, happy dogs and even happier people 🐾

Seeing the wild oil rigs in their natural habitat was incredie. So majestic. In all seriousness, fantastic beach for dogs. Great open space, plenty of room to run and spend energy. Water is calm pretty far out, so they can go out and swim or get wet without being washed away

I know I would definitely help. People there have been very nice. Im sure plenty of people would help. I will worn you that it is a steep walk down to the sand on rough gravel so do be careful and take your time. If you park in the first lot you will very close to life guard towers and more beach goers. Thank you soooooo much for your service and enjoy!
The sloped entrance is difficult for some people. There are a lot of benches lining the top of the hill along the metal railing that he could use to sit relax and enjoy the view. There are also a few parking locations that provide a nice view as well, but they are not always available.
Yes and our dog loved it. If you walk slowly and are observant you will see crabs on the sand, hermit crabs in the shallow surf and maybe sea snails as well.
It's a great beach and has been safe so far. I love it and my dog absolutely loves it and she's a small dog. I haven't experienced any of the dogs being aggressive at all.
Yeah. I saw people having picnics on that beach. There are a lot of dogs that may run up to you – so if you don’t mind/like that, it’s great!
None for us.
