We were there to attend a funeral. It is a beautiful chuch, also has an amazing pipe organ. The pastor of the church directed the service even though the people involved were not church members. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. I would go there for the service, which I think is in Spanish, just to experience the place again.

The doctors and nurses of this hospital saved my life two weeks ago, and now it's like I've been reborn. I am so grateful; I'd list all the doctors who were so great to and for me, but can't remember all of their names! I do remember that all were the heads of their departments, so my greatest thanks to the following departments and their head physicians: Gastroenterology, Psychiatric, Cardiac (that was Dr. Palmer--an easy name to remember and a great guy in addition to being a great doctor), Hematology and of course my primary, Dr. Jacob Flores. I had a regularly scheduled appointment with him, and about two seconds after I entered his office he said, "You have to go to the hospital tonight or you'll die." He was right: I wouldn't have survived the night. They gave me a new lease on life--and apologies to any I forgot to mention (I do have memory problems). As for the hospital itself, we were in the old section and it was spick-and-span: no odors of alcohol or disinfectant at all (sure signs of a filthy hospital). My wife HATES hospitals but never minded this one because every night she visited me (they let her stay with me one night, God bless them), all she smelled was food--surprisingly good food for hospital food, in fact, and I was on the cardiac diet! White Memorial is the number one rated hospital in California and in the nation's list off 100 best. Not a great neighborhood, but definitely a GREAT hospital.

All are welcome at this church nip matter your religion .. Friendly members make you feel at home .. Nice potluck lunch after services for bonding time .. And pastor Ben always delivers a great sermon ..
