It was a honor and a privilege to be employed with Amity. I enjoyed being apart of a community of commitment and passion of what Amity represents. At the time I was employed at LAC. I was very fortunate in the beginning of my journey as a community member/employee to have such a great example of a demonstration of who Amity is. Not only has He demonstrated of the true essence of "We teach by doing and not otherwise"but that Mr William Berlanga has shown me what a responsible reasonable respectable Director should be. I have learned knowledge instruction but all in all, I learned LOVE. So with that working with community member William was a honor and a great experience. In all the 8 years I have been in this field I have never had a great leader and a Director as William. So with that; LAC was a great place to be employed ,serve and grow.

For the most part this is a good place to get on your feet and set the pieces in motion to accomplish your goals ... Some of the Demonstrators definitely need more training or to be replaced by actual professional counselors ... But the people who run this program like Mr.Whit and Steve are very helpful and encouraging towards helping you to get your life back on track and from my personal experience are extremely understanding and supportive.
