Pro tip: the place is fully packed on weekends but nearly empty on weekdays. It’s really worth it to take a day-off in the middle of the week and spend several hours seeping excellent local wines enjoying picturesque mountains landscapes. And peacocks.

Gorgeous local winery super close to Cupertino and not too far up windy Montibello rd. Lots of wildlife, nice picnic areas and hiking trails adjacent with nice bathrooms. Parking but get there early in summer.

I’ve been to a few wineries in the area, but this one was a serendipitous find. Very old winery with charming architecture. Some unique wines including a sparkling red which I haven’t seen before. Lots of space outdoor to hang out and enjoy your wine.

Picchetti has a nice selection of wines (obviously), but the real draw is a large grassy area perfect for a picnic. There are also some easy hiking trails right next to the winery. This is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.

The people who managed to get this winery through the Prohibition did so because they knew Jesus.
Cost varies with the amount of space and services required. Outside catering is fine
I believe so, if they're well-behaved. Be advised, there were peacocks on the grounds last time i was there which i know would make my dogs crazy.
The property is owned by the Open Space Preserve and they to not allow dogs in any of their parks.
