If you need to recycle anything look no further! TM SCRAP METALS in sun valley was well worth the drive for me. I live in Sylmar and I drive a few miles to recycle my hvac condensers. Reasons why because first off all management and staff are very friendly . The guy weighing your recyclables is so humble and hardworking. Very helpful! The owner VLAD is welcoming. He made sure he took care of my prices for coming back to him the second time. Great guy! Appreciate his business a lot! Highly recommend TM SCRAP METALS if your looking for good prices and friendly staff. THANKS VLAD!!!!!

I'm giving them 3 stars because of their customer service . They are friendly and very attentive. If your new to recycling metal, they take time to explain the differences between the metals. But in all honesty, many places do that. So nothing new here. The -2 stars is for their payout prices. RIDICULOUSLY low compared to other places and what the value of metal is that day. I check the value of metal the same day I go recycle my metal and let me tell you that there is a BIG GAP on their payouts. All the reviews stating that they pay great haven't been to other places. Do yourself a favor and download the iScrap App. You'll see the prices of metal and when you compare them. You'll be disappointed.

This place is horrible. They don't pay anything close to what other scrap yards pay. Owner of this business picks on their customers and doesn't treat everyone that goes in equally. The only people that are treated somewhat decent are the business owners that don't care about how much they get paid, that will come and dump all their metal, get their money and leave. But if yore just getting metal from here and there and recycling is what u do, yore way better off to go and recycle somewhere else. There are 6 or 7 scrap yards right around this place that will get you more money and way better customer service than to rip you off like this place. It's hard work, hard labor and they don't really understand that here. MIKE I totally disagree with you. I am sorry.

Terrible customer service. Called ahead of time and checked website, when I arrived they took my wire weighed it and dumped it then told me the price. Shorted me about 10 cents a pound on my copper then put a 3 day hold on my money. No one said anything about this prior to me dumping the wire. When I asked for my money or the wire back they said they couldn't return the wire and the only thing they would do was get me my cash in 3 days. Had to take off work again because of the hours to pick up my money and they still wouldn't adjust the rate. And the straw on the camels back, I got a flat tire from one of the many nails they have all over the parking/dumping area. There are plenty other recycling centers near by I would recommend any of them over this place.

There are literal tons (hundreds of thousands of tons) of things in our world that contain recyclable metal. If you want to find some items to begin selling for scrap, check out your own pantry for aluminum soda and soup cans! Other recyclable metal items include appliances, electronics, automobiles, boats, construction equipment, power tools and lots more.

Metal recycling is important in many ways. It lets us do less mining for new ores to make metal. This reduces our use of natural resources as well as air pollution and runoff from waste. Metal recycling also help the economy in a number of ways: It provides jobs, increases spending power, and more. Of course, there is a great benefit: metal recycling puts cash in your pocket because you can sell your scrap metal to us and we’ll pay you cash on the spot.
You may or may not know, but all metal is 100% recyclable. The two main types of metal scrapped are nonferrous and ferrous metal. See our blog post on this. Steel and Iron are the most frequently recycled nonferrous and ferrous metals. Additional metals to recycle include aluminum , copper, brass, and precious metals.
Precious metals (think gold or platinum) fetch high prices because they are rare, occur naturally, and have high economic value. They are used predominately for currency, industry and of course jewelry. The most well-known precious metals include gold, silver, palladium, platinum, zirconium, cobalt and tungsten.
