Our vegetarian hamburger was wonderful. It was the only vegetarian item on the menu but it was well prepared and it had a lot of flavor. It was hard to find vegetarian food around the area so we were happy to have crossed our path with the lost colony. The waitress was very kind and polite. There was a local musician playing that day and he was great. Over all we really liked the place. Even though I can only review as a vegetarian, I dare to say that the other meat items being served looked great.

This is a local brewhouse with English fare. (Not southern cooking). Sine the OBX hails from English settlers, these guys decided on a traditional English menu with a few twists. You can get steak and ale pie, an English hamburger with egg, and more. Be prepared for a wait though. It's a popular place with the locals and tourists alike, and it's a small place so they can only move so fast. Plan a full hour to order, eat, and leave.

My other half and I came here for lunch after checking out a historic site nearby. Stephanie was our waitress. Even though she said she usually works the bar, she did an awesome job waiting tables. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie and way too many of the Roanoke Island Iced Teas. My food and drinks were very good. If I'm back in the area again, I'll definitely be coming back.

Amazing food! Even better service! The beer is like nothing you have ever tried before. If you find yourself in Manteo, NC, you have to swing in for a drink and some grub. The bartender Julie is just great. The owners, Geno and Jared, make sure to take the time to interact with customers on a regular basis.
